"I don't think we were as aware of that movie as much as we have been made aware of it after making our movie." Sure.

10:08 "I interviewed an actor one time who was playing a role that had been previously played in another film... (The actor replied...) "I've played Hamlet before, and no-one ever asks me about all the other actors who have ever played Hamlet..." Yeah... But I'm guessing they haven't completely changed Hamlet to an entirely different character 🤣🤷‍♀️

"Bill didn't think about Brandon Lee and I didn't make myself aware of The Crow before making this". Cool. Got it. Another two reasons not to bother.

Agreed. I found this so disrespectful. I'll sadly pass on this one.

Emm that's the right thing to do. They mean he didn't think about him so he wouldn't feel the need to try to compete with that version and instead do his own thing. For better or worse it's better for them to do there own thing and totally remove it from the OG.

This Man literally thinks people Forgot about him and Kristin Stewart having a very publicly Noticed Affair... Which destroyed his Family and Marriage and her long term Relationship with Robert Pattinson. Then he thinks he can just be like, Imma Mess with A cult classics that has a huge following and that he didn't pay attention to previous to him making the film... But Yeah lets get that money 😑 Or not! Since it literally is a flop by Zero Surprise!

Its hilarious how people think saying they weren't "aware" means they had no knowledge...it doesnt....they mean they werent thinking about the 1994 film....theybwere onky focused onnthe comic

6:44 So there's the admission that the two characters who we know and love have been created "wildly different." If we'd have been introduced to these as NEW characters (who just happen to share the same name as before) I think people may have been more open and receptive. It's the presentation that this is off the back of the 1994 movie specifically, that makes it obviously deceptive and misleading. If that was the task at hand, research into the character should have been done... But clearly Rupert wanted to make brand new characters off the back of the name "The Crow" cos this Eric and shelly are unrecognisable, unfortunately >> 7:30

I'm sorry, what an ignorant filmmaker. You should have known that most of you touched on this project; people would compare it, especially since Brandon’s legacy is heavily tied to this character and franchise. Pure Ignorance.

Listened to the whole inteview. The sheer apathy and dismissiveness he has for the source material and original movie is fairly off putting. This dork will never succeed in creating something as beautiful, layered, moving and unique as Alex Proyas did with the original.

What is this licking to the director of you, the film is totally disaster, i added in my review 0.0/10.0, is max boring, and totally below the respect of the source material from the comics and the original film, I think Brandon Lee is turning in his grave from the torment what garbage of movie him created, do an interview and don't tell the real truth about the movie and how the audience on all portals 95% spit on the movie, never worse than The Crow in the history of the franchise , sorry to i am cruel, just i talking from my experiance as big fan after movie when i watched , i am just unest.

100 mins long...and 90 of those are badly acted, badly written & blandly shot garbage. There is one 10 minute sequence in the opera house which is actually not bad at all. But it's too little too late! The leads have zero chemistry! Bill is a good actor, but surprisingly miscast here while FKA should stick to music because she's a terrible actress! The soundtrack doesn't suck, but the songs feel so randomly thrown in with little thought given to why they're there other than "it might make wake up us Goths"...AWFUL FILM OVERALL!
