Saw him at the Village Vanguard about 10 years ago. I swear he had a yellow kick drum and a red floor tom...anyway, he has the sound I crave. Everything on his kit sounds awesome, and he is just an amazing player. Great video...thanks for the post.

Borrowing a page from the great Coltrane quartet, with the rhythm section vamping, and the instruments taking extended solos in turn... I don't think anyone does it better in the modern era than this band.
