My wife and I were just married around 9 months when this song was on the radio. I was stationed at Dyess AFB, Abilene Tx. That year and half was so beautiful and she was just pregnant with our son. We both loved this song and sang it all the time. She died 4 years ago of cancer after 49 years. I miss her so and this song is still so beautiful.

We have lost another true legend i just found out that he passed away.Bill Withers was more than just a singer, guitar, piano player ,Seven time Grammy award winner and he was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in the class of 201. He left us with many great songs that were the soundtracks to our lives with songs like Lean On Me,Grandmas Hands,Use Me,Who Is He And What is he to you which was covered by so many but in my opinion the cover version and another all time classic of that song was by Creative Source till this day that song still gets played.Bill had many other classics but when he hooked up with the late great Grover Washington Jr. on their monster hit Just The Two Of Us which they won in 1981.Bill made history at the 30th annual Grammy Awards on March 2, 1988, becoming the first songwriter to win for best R&B song three times. R.I.P Bill Withers thank you for sharing your great talents to the world.

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. The time is now... For tomorrow's never promised. May 27, 2020 I was so blessed to be able to attend one of Kenny Rogers concert in early 2000's in Rochester, MN. I was going thru a lot of adversities but I was not afraid to go by myself I did ....it paid off. It was very meaningful, very comforting till this days. I just listened that cd again this week I think it has more meaning now than ever. I wish He was alive and someone can interview him about this special album if he did really mean what I am thinking. ...I wonder if there is anyone from his family or friend or journalists interviewed him. I was blessed to grow up listening to him, Don Williams ..then Dolly Patron, Steve Wonder, Lionel Richie, Willi Nelson, Harry Belafonte, Louis Armstrong, Bill Withers, ....list goes on...Let your memories be Eternal Kenny Rogers, RIP. ...Thank you to each one of you who entertained us during so many difficult times, and make us laugh cherish all the good times, Thank God to equip us all with so many special people in our lives. .....One of my favorite songs I add that was comforting during my rough times in that bitter cold State called MN. ....

The awfulness of 2020 swallowed this man's death. His impact on music was incredible and he deserves remembrance along the greats.
