Classic single, I bought this back in the day. Bill wrote some fabulous new wave records, he really crossed over well.

Gitaaroverlast The bass is Travis Bean bass with aluminum neck!!! Bill used Travisbeans from 78 to 83, and nowadays he prefers Steinberger carbon fibre basses.

Saw him performing this on TV shows such as the Kenny Everett Show or the Young Ones what seemed like six weeks in a row or something,nice promo if you can get it. A similar thing happened with King of Pain by the Police a couple of years later.

@DDEENY3 жыл бұрын
@@martinohare9179 I love that Bill got to write and sing a song for _Their Satanic Majesties Request_ but I never liked "In Another Land". It could have benefited from better production. I do love the fact that it was Bill who invented the "Jumping Jack Flash" riff and not Keith as most would suppose. I'd also read that it was Bill's studio noodling that came up with the piece at the end of _Their Satanic Majesties Request's_ Side One that when speeded up to 45 rpm on a turntable plays "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" intended by the album's release approaching Christmas, 1967.

Fantastic song - effectively synth-pop and something that deserved to feature on compilations of that ouvre.... This "band" lip-sych is interesting (is that Kenney Jones?) but doesn't do the track justice
