Not me going to Grand Central Market ever again. Part 1. I ordered a chicken dish and the chicken was raw. There were 2 servers. I went to the one I placed my order with and told her that. I ordered something else and stood by the counter and watched the cook in the back prepare my food. By this time I had waited for sometime for the first dish, however, I wouldn't want fast service on my second/any dish, if the food is gonna be raw. My second dish was chicken dumplings soup, as a replacement to the first. The cook literally took 1 second to dip the dumplings in the hot water, then he sent out my bowl. I took a bite out of the dumpling and the ground chicken inside stuck to my teeth - it was RAW AGAIN. I had to spit it out. When I saw the cook taking such little time to warm the food, I thought the dumplings were already pre-cooked. But, they were not! He was supposed to keep them longer in the hot water, until they cook through. That didn't happen! They were not even busy, so I don't understand why all of this nasty and unsafe behavior from their part, not that being busy would be an excuse for such behavior. I was done by now with this place, so I went again and told her that the chicken is raw again. She sent the other server after a while and she was aggressive to me and gave me an attitude. I explained to her that I can't eat this raw food they gave me, because I don't want to get sick and I wanted a refund, since both dishes are inedible and I had to go. She was very rude and she denied me my money back. I asked for the manager/owner and she refused to do that, too. So, she left me hungry and with my money stolen, pretty much. I paid cash. I didn't want to get salmonella or anything like that, so I did not eat their food. Would this business have paid my hospital bills had I eaten the raw food they sold me? It is very dangerous and stupid of the owners of the China Cafe to hire and retain the most rude, racist, retarded and unprofessional employees, as you can always end up in the court of law. Think about that. These 2 servers have no place in customer service or in America. They are racist and very, very rude. They appear to be Mexican, considering how racist, rude and stupid they are. (Not the first time I experience this type of behavior from Mexican w.h.o.r.e.s, so I can tell you with certainty that my observations are 100% accurate. Whatever happened with the little grain of customer service in America...gone completely.) I watched them serve the other men who were seated at the counter, all Hispanic men, and they were not treating them like they treated me. You racist idiots, if you cannot tolerate other people than your own race, don't work in customer service and don't live in America! Disrespecting someone's food that they put in their body, is beyond disgusting, and letting them leave hungry, when they already paid for the food, is beyond disgusting. I wish YOU who did this to me, go hungry for the rest of your pathetic life. You don't deserve food. Part 2. Maybe there should be a new law, where businesses cannot collect the payment before the food/service is rendered and the customer verified that it is what they asked for; this way, it will prevent criminal thieves like YOU, from stealing people's money. If we need to return something for any reason, at least we don't lose our money and you can keep your sh!t salmonella food. Treating someone differently in a bad way because of national ancestry, age, etc., is against the law and it is called discrimination and racism. However, you should not need a law to tell you to be a fàkin' DECENT AND CIVILIZED human being! The owner of China Cafe and the management of the Grand Central Market, this is a direct message to you both to fix your service at China Cafe (and other businesses) and hire decent human beings to provide civilized & LEGAL customer service ASAP. You owe me MY money back. In addition, I'm sure you know by now that your servers are horrible, racist and disgusting human beings; just read your reviews AGAIN and do something about it, as this has been going on for years! By this point in time, YOU are the most responsible, because you tolerate this type of behavior that your employees give to your customers. I hope you go out of business, since you don't deserve our money and the money you stole from me. Maybe it is time someone reports you, if this is the only way you'll learn that disrespecting, stealing people's money through your business and being racist is NOT THE WAY TO GO. Mainly because of this horrible experience at the China Cafe, I never went back to Grand Central Market or to ANY business there. Prior to my decision, I tried another few places at the Grand Central Market, and again one was a Mexican racist, another gave me stomach ache and the fruit and vegetable business was racist, too. Really?! Another strange thing that happened, was that I wanted to see if I could pass through a business there (it looked like there were just some tables inside, no merchandise), open to the public, because I didn't want to go all the way around the block, and there was a security guard who asked me if he can look inside my purse, that was hanging by my shoulder. WHAT? I wasn't even at their door, I was still on the sidewalk, looking for a shortcut. Imagine someone asking you to let them look inside your purse on the sidewalk... Of course I gave him no such permission, so I took myself on a walk around the block to reach the other side of the building. How strange is that? (I asked him what does he need to look in my purse for, when I would have been going in, not coming out? I told him NO.) Don't take people's decency for weakness. The nerve!!!!! HOW DARE YOU?????
