They are? I don’t think a world chart would be very useful in my opinion, like charts that are already trying that now, large regions of the world are excluded (like Africa and the middle east) because the music markets aren’t as big there and lack of resources. All To Myself (BOTW) Go Loko (HM) Die Young Paradise Homicide If I Can’t Have You Truth Hurts Middle Child (DM) Beer Never Broke My Heart (WOTW) Some Cut slander. I’m unsubbing. No but seriously maybe because I’ve heard too much forgettable trap and Tyga is the only interesting one. Go Loko is addictive and fun

Potentially Big Hits: Sweet but Psycho by Ava Max Miss Me More by Kelsea Ballerini bad guy by Billie Eilish Boy with Luv by BTS ft. Halsey Suge by DaBaby Pop Out by Polo G ft. Lil TJay Chlorine by Twenty One Pilots Power is Power by SZA ft. The Weeknd & Travis Scott Homicide by Logic ft. Eminem Big Ole Freak by Megan Thee Stallion i'm so tired... by Lauv & Troye Sivan If I Can't Have You by Shawn Mendes Any songs you'd like me to add or remove? Also, I need to talk about Sweet but Psycho for a little bit. It's getting close to the top ten, and who knows when it'll actually get there? So here's what I'm doing with that song: if it doesn't crack the top ten in two weeks, I'm taking it off the playlist. Sorry, @Nick Cruz (and anyone else who wanted it in the top ten)... It's locked for the year-end list anyways. But at this point, I'm just not sure where that song is going.

Here's mine: 1. Sunflower (This song is incredibly wonderful, and I hope this masterpiece tops the year end this year, or at least above Without Me) 2. 7 Rings (I can't help it, it's too catchy and Ari is just so likeable on here, at least in my opinion) 3. Thank U, Next (I love this, I only wish it stuck around the top 30 and didn't die so fast) 4. Shallow (An interesting power ballad, the end of this song is GOLDEN, but yeah it takes a while to build up) 5. Sucker (I enjoy this track quite a bit, but I mostly hear it on the radio and rarely put it on for myself) 6. Without Me (The emotion of this song doesn't feel real anymore, goddammit overplay) 7. Old Town Road (This country/rap mashup works better than it should, but it's still not that good)

The charts are so weak at the moment that we would’ve had 3 #1 back to back debuts with Me!, If I Can’t Have You & I Don’t Care so I’m actually kinda grateful for OTR it’s half way through the year & we already have 7 number ones and half of those were 1 week 1’s

Logics song isnt good but the worst part of it is the hypocrisy. There was little lyricism and a bunch of his songs on his album are about flexing, which he is trying to diss. Its not terrible since the hook is pretty fun to rap along to and em killed it, and the outro was pretty funny.

'Die Young' by Roddy Ricch 'Paradise' by Bazzi 'All To Myself' by Dan + Shay 'Middle Child' by PnB Rock & XXXTENTACION (Worst of the Week) 'Go Loko' by YG, Tyga & Jon Z 'Beer Never Broke My Heart' by Luke Combs (Best of the Week) 'Truth Hurts' by Lizzo (Honorable Mention) 'Homicide' by Logic ft. Eminem 'If I Can't Have You' by Shawn Mendes (Dishonorable Mention) -I think the success of "Homicide" is gonna fade away pretty quickly, given that it's by two artists that are known at this point for huge drop-offs. -"Truth Hurts" has the potential to become a huge hit. The fact that it debut in the top 50 despite being by an artist fairly unknown to the mainstream without a big cosign is pretty shocking. -"All To Myself" was kind of a poor single choice in my opinion, especially with "Keeping Score" being on that same album. It's not nearly as memorable as "Speechless" and "Tequila," and the former will probably end up returning in a couple weeks due to its big streaming and pop radio gains. -"Beer Never Broke My Heart" debuting at #68 with only two days of streaming/sales tracking caught me by surprise, even thought most of it is from its oddly huge radio debut. It'll most likely jump to around 20-25 next week 'cause its streaming is bigger than any country song I've seen in a while. "Beautiful Crazy" also seems to be benefitting from the hype as well on streaming.
@pardonthemusic5 жыл бұрын
truth hurts was supposed to debut weeks ago, but for some reason it was regarded as recurrent by billboard and had to be within the top 50 in order to chart. however, no one knows why the song was put in recurrent in the first place, since it never charted for twenty weeks. it's fucking weird...
@matthewhatfield95355 жыл бұрын
Though I was under the impression the cutoff was 3 years, Billboard does have a Recurrency by Song Age rule. Pretty sure Mark indirectly mentioned it when Ocean Eyes first charted (though I'd have to rewatch that episode) That's why all the old Christmas music last year debuted top 50, even though we all know it would have filled the entire chart like it does in the UK. - - Also Luke Combs is huge on Amazon Music, like top 5 song and album huge.

I've decided to listen to this innovative number 1 of ours and.....really, guys? I expected something more with a bang and it turned out to be mediocre at best. Not going to lie, I didn't even knew who the hell was Lil Nas X but , yeah, dude sounds just like every single trap rapper I've heard. As for the new entries: I'm going to skip country if you don't mind. Not a fan and my grades will be subjective. Paradise was actually not that bad. I may like it if I hear it a couple of times. Die Young - boring trap rap. Middle Child was fine. Yeah, PnB and X was not the dream combination but it is decent. Go Loko - I fully agree. As someone who's guilty pleasure was Taste, I have to say it - Tyga, stop it. Truth Hurts was nothing special really. Homicide was just stupid. I still wait for someone to explain one thing to me - what is so special and unique about Logic? Like, what's the big deal? I get it - he tries so hard to be relevant but no. If I Can't Have you is stupid, End of story. Overall, pretty shitty week. Worst, for me, is Go Loko no doubt about it. 2 DMs - If I Can't Have You and Homicide. Best is Paradise. End of story.
