I really enjoyed the daily countdown series of the Top 40 Billboard Hits of the 80s. Just curious, may I know how far will this series stretch? Into the 90s & 2000s?

Planning on going at least into the 90s. I may go back to the 70s or even the 60s as well. Depends on how much time I can devote to this.

For a second I thought, 'man, Thriller is pretty low on this list.' Then I remembered it was released two years earlier. Gosh darn.

Never mind the music: I'd argue 1984 is probably the best *pop culture* year ever. That summer was probably the best movie summer of all time. (Ghostbusters and Gremlins came out *on the same weekend* for crying out loud!)

Of the songs I'm most surprised have disappeared from the public consciousness, "State Of Shock" was surprisingly big and I don't remember hearing it in the last 3 decades at the very least. Or how was "Bruce" ever that big? It's an awful song. How did it get any play on the top 40 at all?
