Man. That Top 10 might be one of the best ever. Every single song is just phenomenal. Bruce, The Pointers & Laura all could have had #1 hits...but they were released at the same time as SO MANY other iconic songs.

Laura got really unlucky here in the States. "Self Control" was a #1 in at least five European countries as well as Canada, as well as being the #1 Song of August 1984 throughout all of Europe and the Song of the Year in Switzerland. This week you can easily make an argument for Laura being at #3, though.

hahaha, how little do you settle for in the USA. In the UK we had a top 5 that was Kraftwerk, The Stranglers, OMD, Soft Cell and The Jam.
