I love bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam or even Bruce Springsteen but I love even More Gaslight Anthem cause these guys took the good rock n roll sound and take it to the next level, The old bands deserve recognition cause they started styles and all that but Gaslight Anthem needs to be concider as The Evolution of rock n roll. These guys sound even better than Foo Fighters nowadays (which some people consider the best band in the world right now)

These guys are not a emo band. Not even close! This is real rock music...not rock/pop. Rock.
@Scrinwaipwr Жыл бұрын
It's rock but it's also definitely at least pop-punk adjacent. That's not a bad thing.

Anyone know what tele Brian is using in this video?
@dolour9 жыл бұрын
it's a 70's one tho isn't it?
@raymon80448 жыл бұрын
It's either a Fender customshop based on a mid to late 60's Tele or an Fender American Vintage '64 with some signs or roaduse. Brian talked about the Tele's he uses live being Customshop models and how he has an original 67 that he keeps he doesn't take out on the road. I think it was some footage shot by Fender for the release of their 'new' American Vintage line of guitars. Brian sits around with a new 64 and discusses how it's just like his original 67 and the Customshops he takes on the road.

BRIAN SHOULD ALWAYS PLAY A TELE. ALWAYS!

For the opposite reason you were given a keyboard. He knows how to effectively and properly utilize what he's using. You, however, do not.

It's tuned down. He sounds super flat in the chorus...:/

@dolour9 жыл бұрын
I agree, more singing ie backing singing, he struggles live but then again I like that shambolicness
@allanmenzies86689 жыл бұрын
+dolour I kinda like how he doesn't kill every single pitch live. it feels real and it goes with the blue collar tock and roll tone. they are great live too even when Brian misses a note or two.
@MeCuestaEscuchar9 жыл бұрын
+Allan Menzies I agree with you 100 %! It feels and sounds more "live" that way
