I think Levitating will shoot up and be a top 20 hit for multiple weeks in 2021 because it's DaBaby (who pretty much is a superstar now and the radio loves anything with him on it) and the label still wants to make money on Future Nostalgia seeing how great Break My Heart and Don't Start Now did this year. Also use the song to promote her tour if we can start going to shows again next year.

@@yeetjaylikesmusic4608 I know for myself as a BTS fan I don't even listen to the Dynamite remixes and I actually believe remixes shouldn't count towards total numbers for a song but they do and I don't make the rules. But BTS are not the only ones who does stuff like that. Maybe I just didn't see it, but I don't remember people making a fuss about Old Town Road and all its remixes when that song broke the record for the most weeks at number 1. How many artists use merchandise and ticket bundles to sell their albums, a lot of them and BTS have never done that when they easily could have and have had 4 number 1 albums that were in Korean without doing so. I just feel like everyone who doesn't like BTS are always to find some way to tear them down when I wonder if your favorite artist were to use the same tactics would you be so critical about it. BTS has broken records set by the Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Adele and nobody ever gives them credit for those. Yes, we got another remix that soar to #1 with "Savage Love." "Dynamite" might rebound on #1 next week thus BTS will be one of the 14 acts to replace themselves at #1. Also, BTS will tie Megan Thee Stallion for the 3rd most weeks spent at #1 this year with 5 weeks after DaBaby (7) and Roddy Ricch (18). There are two things I need the US to make happen before the 2020 Billboard chart year is over... 1. "Mood" goes to number one. 2. "Head & Heart" by Joel Corry and MNEK hits the Hot 100. It's legit one of the few world hits I am stunned hasn't hit the Hot 100 yet. I can honestly see "Dreams" hanging around a bit longer especially as it seems Stevie Nicks and co are definitely milking the virality for all it's worth and good on them. Kind of hoping it hangs on to it's virality a bit longer given I would love to see it make Australia's year end list as it didn't in it's original chart run back in 1977. DaBaby's fine on the remix but I prefer the album version of "Levitating". Kind of feel like Dua's really messed up her album cycle with this one tbh. Next week could be strange as it was fairly quiet in the new releases department last week...might get a couple of Van Halen songs return following the death of Eddie Van Halen but aside from that probably that collab between Bebe Rexha and Doja Cat (a song that is barely saved by Doja Cat's verse and even then the lyrics are atrocious...Bebe references eggs in the second verse for some reason).

I don't think we will be getting VH because the American mainstream is afraid of hard rock, metal, or anything with loud distorted guitars. And no VH songs aren't going viral on Tik Tok from what I'm aware of. It's the label's fault for that remix with DaBaby for Dua Lipa's song. They want another radio hit from the album while still making money off of DaBaby's star power. And yes, the album version is definitely better. (I laughed out loud when I first heard the remix. He doesn't ruin it but it's still funny because I've heard the original so many times since the album is so good.) Yes absolutely! Head & Heart is amazing! Love this song and it's a shame it's not charting yet! Probably because it's too upbeat and fun to listen to. (It's a miracle a similar song like Rain On Me was huge.)

Did you really just say Blackpink stripped away their unique tones? More like they stripped away their "formula" because over half of their discography has the "formula" of chanted chorus, bombastic and usually annoying beat drop, etc. And it's also no surprise that their best songs are all the ones that don't follow it, as in As if It's Your Last, Really, and Lovesick Girls.

i really don't get what is needed for bts to get a high position that wouldn't be criticized... while dynamite is supported by fans and fans only (which isn't true, but whatever), savage love is a song that the gp is aware of, thanks to its popularity on tiktok, it also has sales from bts fans and actual radio support. a collaboration of artists from around the world, with the Siren Beat celebrating Jawsh 685's heritage, jason's gp-friendly hook, even verses in Korean, helping Jawsh 685 to become one of the few New Zealanders to top the chart and one of the youngest musicians to do so, Jason to get a number one for the 1st time in years and BTS members to finally have writing credits on a #1 song. come on, it's cool, even if it only lasts for a week.

@alex_flamer4 жыл бұрын
Physical flopped because it didn't get any radio airplay. And that was because it's too good and it scares radio programmers. However, if it had an unnecessary rapper feature on it to drive down it's quality, then it would probably be played and be a crossover single (which will probably happen in 2021 with Levitating now that there is that remix with DaBaby.)
@Timothyrpiano4 жыл бұрын
Alex_flamer I’m pretty sure Physical wasn’t promoted to radio because of the rising success of Don’t Start Now at the time. If she sent Physical to radio at the time of release in February, it would’ve destroyed Don’t Start Now’s success that came later in the spring

It cracks me up how angry people have been about BTS’s remixes making the song chart when people completely ignore how (almost) every other artist uses bundles (free album with the purchase of a MF condom, yay!). Just remember that remix or not, BTS is actually selling music and other artists sell merch disguised as music for higher positions on the chart. And at this point BTS fans are out of funds so it’s the general public enjoying the song from seeing it on Samsung ads, music shows, Jimmy Fallon, etc. buying Dynamite. I just don’t understand why when it’s BTS selling music it “isn’t an organic hit” but when artists sell water bottles with a free album it’s “organic”. The music industry is fucked and BTS are just playing the game, we’ll see how the charts fare now that bundles are gone.
@crystalsnow11384 жыл бұрын
I never understood why sales with bundles were allowed in the first place. People blaming all the remixes of Dynamite for the reason why it's doing well. I myself only listened to each of the remixes a couple times, I don't think it changed things too much for Dynamite and like you said at least they're selling music and not merchandise. People always try to find something to bring down people who are successful, but when it's an artist they like they don't say anything.

Kpop winning, BTS and Blackpink on the charts! When more kpop groups begin charting >>>> I don't think the remixes are helping Dynamite at this point (apparently they're off the charts). The song has great promotion, is being used in ads and big events (ex: sports games), has sustainable radio, and I think people outside the fans are now buying the song. Lovesick Girls deserved the charting Ice Cream had. The song is also co-produced by David Guetta, so that probably explains why it sounds like early 2010s EDM. This is actually one of the best songs that call back to that era without seeming like a try-hard, unlike Ava Max and some of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry's recent music Apparently that Why Don't We song was manipulated onto the charts. This is a group that was made famous by Logan Paul of all people, so hopefully this drops out next week.

Would like to see those other Pop Smoke songs survive a few more weeks also. Plus, I already saw it being better than 2019 since I think early January or so! It's just the spring that gave us the most scares there.
@crazyluigi66644 жыл бұрын
You know what? This might be the best shot to remember songs that I might likely consider the best and worst of the year, so screw it. I'm going to list some likely best hit songs contenders and some likely worst hit songs contenders also! Best Hits: Blinding Lights *If Circles weren't a 2019 song, I'd put that there as well, but since it is... no go. Don't Start Now Adore You Rockstar Everything I Wanted Ballin' (Should have been for 2019, but I'm not complaining there.) Blueberry Faygo Heartless W.A.P. Good As Hell (Be thankful this is viable for 2020, even though it should have been viable for 2019 like Circles.) Break My Heart Die From A Broken Heart All I Want For Christmas Is You (This is the only year it'll be on a list like this.) Come & Go You Should Be Sad Supalonely Does To Me Even Though I'm Leaving The Bigger Picture Pu$$y Fairy (OTW) (If for nothing else than the fact that Jhene Aiko will no longer be just remember for that one song she was on with Chris Brown that one time.) Slide (Just for the fact that H.E.R. is there also.) Mood More Hearts Than Mine (If it survives, of course.) Yeah, that looks like a very good list of songs at hand here! (Should also note The Woo's arguably the best Pop Smoke song here, despite me only saying it's likely good tier.) Now for the worst... Worst Hits: Say So (In the event they count Nicki Minaj's remix. Otherwise, ignore it... or don't.) Intentions 10,000 Hours (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' song of that name is so much better!) Hot Girl Bummer Lose You To Love Me (Too dour for remind me of 2020, even before COVID-19.) Toosie Slide (I still can't believe guys like Soulja Boy, Silento, & iLoveMemphis made better dance songs than this shit!) My Oh My (More like why, oh why, am I right guys?) Dynamite (Sorry, but this really soured on me surprisingly quick!) Death Bed (Coffee For Your Head) Go Crazy (Just for principle alone, though it's not like I'm one to talk, considering I sadly kind of liked No Guidance there.) Highest In The Room (Probably the most forgettable #1 hit of them all this year, which is *really saying something* for this year.) RITMO (Bad Boys For Life) Nobody But You (The sooner we stop having these Blake Shelton/Gwen Stefani duets on board from since The Voice first began or so, the better everyone will be.) If The World Was Ending (God, I can't wait until we're through with these COVID-19 inspired songs of an insipid nature going forward!) Sunday Best Yummy Party Girl (Seriously, will anyone even remember this a few years from now?) Suicidal (In the event it's just YNW Melly, since Juice WLRD helped save this song a bit if it is his remix on here.) Hard To Forget Hot Stuck With U (While I will be grateful for it blocking 6ix9ine when it did (twice), I already said what I needed to on If The World Was Ending.) Juicy Walk 'Em Down (A bad Roddy Ricch song? With NLE Choppa, it's more likely than you think.) Kinfolks (If it survives, of course.) Out West (If it survives, of course.) And that's it for now. Might include a Lil Baby song here for good measure, though I'm just thankful I won't need to look at 6ix9ine's bullshit for this year any longer outside of people giving him dishonorable mentions and _maybe_ actual mentions if they look at #1 hit songs also.

Don’t Stop is a good song. The music video reminds me of Diamonds. I just think Young Thug’s verse was underwhelming. I also like Megan’s second verse more than her first. I love the beat though
