Please, do not insult me for what I am going to say: I have followed Master Brufford for more than 40 years, and I can assure you that he is an extraordinary Tour Guide, he has taken me on tours and has shown me the most amazing and rare colors and (rhythmic) landscapes, from all many continents... and he has taught me how the BassDrum and the Snare Drum should dialogue in each Musical Culture. Thanks Teacher.

Bill Bruford...the most complete drummer I have ever seen...there is no musical style that he cannot master...his extraordinary ability to play the drums is very impressive.

His live snare sound never changed. And by God, what a blessing. Favorite drummer of all time. Coming from I, a drummer who could only possess one bullock of the talent this man carries within his entire being. Forever love, cheers Dr Bruford. Amazing discography you left us

I love Bill Bruford's "articulation"...not just in his words but also in his playing. He's been a favorite of mine since I was a juvenile.

@@doctorpatient519 that's strange, I was just thinking about Stan Getz today, and how he was always number one it seemed, on the annual Playbo'y Jazz poll.

7:22 Ok, Bill apparently also pioneered the custom of putting cymbals on drums, back in 2005... these days modern drummers do it alot, like Louis Cole.

NO credits to the performers? All that writing in the description and no mention of band members? Even Brian Eno and Miles Davis were mentioned; and they weren't performing. Damn good band! Jazz piano, horn and bass players are outstanding!! 🎹🎸🎷

Gwilym Simcock (piano), Laurie Cottle (bass), Tim Garland (saxophones). Good point though: Bill comments on all his co-performers on a weekly basis and has fallen into the trap of assuming most visitors know who they are. Yes, will try to get him to identify less well known players on upcoming videos. Admin
