I subscribed to this channel about a year ago. I've been a big fan of Bill Dance since 2002 when he was on the then TNN, and subsequently on OLN; unfortunately I ended up missing out on the show after giving up cable several years ago, so I'm very glad to have found this channel on KZbin!! I can never get the theme song out of my head: 🎵 I'm goin' fishing with Bill Dance todaaaaayyy!!! 🎵

The red wrigglers I get at my local Walmart are as big as dang nightcrawlers - almost double what Bill just showed. Bluegill can’t resist these and I’ll get two or three with one worm sometimes.

I got back into fishing this past year after 18 years. I had given up because of becoming disabled. But in May I decided I'm going to try. Well. I ended up fishing 3-5 times a week. I didn't catch a huge amount. Or really big ones. But my love for fishing definitely returned big time. My three biggest bass this year were caught on crawfish imitation lures. So I will say. They catch fish. I caught one of them on a Yum Christie craw green pumpkin. One on a Big Baits craw in green pumpkin. And one on a ZMan TRD craw in Green Pumpkin Orange. You can bet I will be fishing them next year once this lousy cold weather goes away. I HATE WINTER!!! LOL

Growing up in central Florida we tossed cast nets for golden shiners and sometimes we caught small 3inch hydrilla green crawfish. Not much variation in color. They were always caught when we drug up hydrilla with the net as well.

I’ll definitely have to try a crawfish lure. I have them but really have never tried one. Thanks Bill.

I have a pair of crawfish (crayfish, as they are called in my area) for aquarium pets! Edit: the breeding crayfish pair unfortunately passed away, however I've obtained 3 new juveniles that have since molted into subadults. Hopefully I'll keep them long enough to spawn some hatchlings by next spring!

My lakes craw color is brown with a little black, but I get the most bites on anything black and blue flake

I remember when I was a kid catching a small bass and taking half digested craws out of its stomach and using them to catch bigger ones
