Hey guys! Nate from Next Gen Diesel here. We’re glad you love the product brother! To answer some questions, the hole in the channel plate is a relief cut into vehicles with TCM tuning to enable fluid to exhaust at a metered pace allowing the factory pump to accommodate higher pressure commands from the TCM. Also, a 2 wheel drive filter is required for our valve body to avoid having to grind the pan! This is where Revmax's version of this billet valve body is superior. They machine a cutout for the filter so no spacer needed and it will even work with a stock pan should you choose to. I went with a Revmax pan and definitely no modifications needed.

that hole helps increase the line pressure to 225 psi more or less if you have a trans tune/r. sonnex line pressure booster is not tuning.

couldn't you just cut a spacer on the plasma table, the shape of the pan gasket to drop the pan down further and get that much more fluid

Running your efi tunes and trans tunes on my 2017 2500 got them last November 2020 love em feels good. But afraid to play/run/tow on 120 or 180 tune cuz of glass jaw 68rfe With this valve body do I need a new trans tune and does my tunes for my 17 have the reverse lock up so I can do burnouts lol I’ve never done one in this truck even with the tunes sad I know

hell yea brother! that is how the tuning should be. my 12 doesn't lock up until 4th even with trans tuning from Oz tuner . now they don't answer the phone. gets pretty hot at low speeds. been watching you really know your shit. I may have to invest....👍

Yeah the 2nd gear lockup makes a major difference to how the truck drives. Dont think Ive seen trans temp go over 80c or 175f once since I started working on the 68rfe tuning.

It had 60,000km and the intake had some soot in it but not near as bad as my 12. I would recommend always delete your truck before 60k if possible. Waiting until warranty is finished will be worse in the long run. Truck will have far more downtime chasing emissions problems while in the warranty period. And your causing more damage to the engine in the long term with that garbage on there.

If you do ill be driving down there, i honestly hate the way it shifts man, speed limit at 50 and it shifts up at 52 and down at 49, plus the line pressure where it feels like it goes into 3 different gears before it actually shifts. Props on having the DEF gauge show full thats awesome, i hate seeing mine in the red

Yeah the shifts feel like that because torque converter is partially unlocked on gear changes. A tighter converter would somewhat solve the issue for you until the transmission tuning is figured out.
