Thanks for uploading the video. After watching the video for 2 min, I knew I had to give up the idea to change the cloth myself and hire a professional to do it for my house.

I’ve done this a couple times on my own (not paying a pro) but the more people you have to help pull the felt the better as you stretch the top to get it tight. Never done the rails b4 but if I could I would pay a professional to do it next time

Thanks for at least mentioning how to place the holes in the felt for the rail bolts to go through. I was afraid to simply cut a cross as it may split. Your video is the only one I found with this particular detail. Thanks! My table looks great!

I have only re covered a few tables but I never folded corners 🤔 otherwise, I’d say the rest was spot on. It was useful to remind myself a few little tricks

Where should I buy the felt from (cheap as possible but as high of quality as possible) and what might be an alternative to a slate (something that might play about like one) I just got a table but need to replace the felt and I really don’t like the wood underneath because it’s too soft and isn’t as level as I would like

unfortunately you really wont get a wooden bed to work like slate regardless the cloth. Best cloth though is by far Simonis

The center pocket method is easier to do. Can I apply the center pocket method to all the corner pockets since I'm not good at getting those wrinkles behind?

Definitely worth paying a professional. However, you can sure learn a lot after watching it being done in person (on your own table).

You'll actually get the bed much tighter by not cutting the holes for the bolts/screws first. When you go to put the screws in the holes it actually pushes the felt down before the screws go though the felt in the holes. In turn tightening the felt just a little bit more. Just that little bit of stretch isnt alot with just one but when you add them all together it ends up being a fairly substantial amount of stretch making it that much tighter....and saves ya a little time cuz you dont have to cut them.

I am shocked that the table fitter would use an orbital sander on the table top. This is a newer Rasson pool table and any sanding no matter how fine the grit can only be detrimemtal to the playing surface. By all means use a cleaning solution to remove unwanted surface debris but never should you use a sander. Using a sander just removes fine layers of slate and eventually creates minor hils and valleys that will effect the true line of a ball rolling on the surface. I cover snooker and pool tables and I speak from experience.
