Keith McCready has such an unorthodox, nostalgic style! With that "body upright, side-arm, palm-facing-downwards-towards-the-floor" style, one is reminded of the early century three-cushion billiard greats like Willie Hoppe and Welker Cochran. Does anyone else get this same impression when watching Keith McCready shoot?

His cueing technique is very poor, that's why he has never won a major event, despite his incredible talent.

If the sardo rack racks them perfectly, why is it no longer being used?
@jeffren70
@jeffren70 4 жыл бұрын
It was a good idea but never really worked. The table cloth would get dimples after a while and the balls would just roll into them. Like the commentator said, it does even out the racks so everyone has a bad rack.

29:00 mark appox. Chalk Off commercial claims "just spray it on, brush it off and it's (cleaner) than new". If you believe that I've got a bridge to sell you. When I heard that the first thing I thought of was, "who in their right mind would believe such an obvious and blatant lie." We do live in interesting times.

I saw him give Nicky Varner the 8 at Disneyland Tournament (after hours) put on by the later passed over "Riverside John" Arlington Recreation Center ... I bought my first real billiard cue in the city of Riverside, from a guy named Herb at Arlington Recreation center. They had a Vhs tape of a tournament in San Bernardino , they let me rent it. The 9 ball tournament had Mcready beating all the inland Empire locals. It also featured a onepocket match between Ronnie Allen and Danny Dilaberto, Danny wins. Where am I going with this,I do not know. I

That blimp is very annoying to me, like what you would see in some children's game. It's enough to watch the girls holding the rack number walk around the table like in a boxing match. I would just like to see professional pool without trying to add something to it that only takes away from it.

I used to be a big McCready fan until I watched a video in which KM called Efren Reyes "my little man." Reyes is the greatest pool player of all time. He is the Babe Ruth of pool and deserves utmost respect for his talent and his humble ways.
@CarlCramer88
@CarlCramer88 3 жыл бұрын
Efren was just coming up around that time, and wasn’t winning major tournaments. McCready was well known, unlike Reyes at the time. If that match got played a few years later, he never would of made that comment. I personally don’t have a problem with what was said. I like that “fuck you” attitude.
@squatch570
@squatch570 3 жыл бұрын
Calm down man, don't be so sensitive about it. McCready talked a lot of BS but he could back it up and it was all in fun while entertaining himself and the crowd when he plays. He respects Reyes as a person and for his skill and accomplishments in pool.

Efren is the best all around player I’ll give ya that , but Efren isn’t close to the best 9 ball player or finals player , accolades and records speak for themselves , Efren always fell apart in the finals , don’t take my work look it up , where earl took his game to a higher level on the biggest stage . As far as 9 ball goes , earl/svb that’s the standard

@godjhaka7376
@godjhaka7376 Жыл бұрын
It seems like a miracle only because your mind can only process what you consider a regular stance. In reality it doesn't matter how you stand or hit the ball, once you're consistent in hitting it where you desire. Efren and Bustamante both have bad stances and strokes too they learned as a child same as McCready and never learned "right". There is no right way other than winning tournaments

I'm going to enjoy watching this match although it played a number of years ago. BUT, that girl who walks around the table with a sign showing the rack number being played is like the girl who walks around the ring in a boxing match. How tacky it is for professional pool to be compared to boxing. I thought from the commentaries I've heard it's been compared to pro-golf or pro-tennis. That's good and it should be kept that way. And that skycam going across the screen like it's a circus we're watching, that's tacky as well. Just WHO is it making these decisions?

He's not lying do you know who this man is? His road name's were Bob Thornton or willy seeds he hit every pro in the country at one time or another you don't see the best on the TV they just show up like a freak storm and then leave. the pro can't figure out what happened he new he should have won he's upset that the man got so many lucky rolls even when the rare moment he mist you would end up safe because a player of that caliber always plays the two way shot on anything that's under a 90% success rate. The pros Chalk it up to bad luck it was a close game too but you were just one step behind and that's the way it always is because he wants it that way. I was on the road for 14 years had to change my name 3 times as to not scare off my fish when one persona got a name for himself I retired him new hair cut new look new name I have hit some people multiple times and they never new what a great life it was! A few close calls a few broken bones and a stab wound that never seemed to heal put me out of that game for good but how do i miss that game of hustle
