When my kids were little, I made a kind of time capsule video where I interviewed the teacher, interviewed a dozen or so students and edited all together mixed with photos and videos of that year’s events. The end part was always designed to get the parents crying (in a good way). My crowning achievement was in 2nd grade when Lukas Graham’s ‘7 Years’ was popular and that served as the soundtrack to close out the video. Talk about tailor-made. But I’ve always regretted that I didn’t have the right opportunity to use this song in a similar way. The message is beautiful.

this song saved me. i first heard it in english class, when i wasn’t doing well. i could barely keep from crying, i had a friend ask questions for me, i read my book under my desk to have something to look down at. this came on through my headphones. she called me out. she was singing to me. and she made me want to be my real self. i can’t count the nights this song put me to sleep. i’m so grateful. i don’t know where i’d be today without this song. this beautiful piece of music. don’t ever listen to people telling you billie is “basic”, “fake”, or “just another teenager”. she is everything. and she saved me.

She is my inspiration... the gift god gave her and finneas is such a blessing, I thank them so much for writing music they have saved so many lives including mine. For anyone else who is struggling out there a reminder we all struggle, let it out by listening to your favorite tunes, and surround yourself with people who care.

I am a Billie Eilish fan. I am 60 years old, and she has such an achingly beautiful voice. Something new. "Where words fail, music speaks." Hans Christian Andersen.

Dayzha Savon Alani Brooks thank you 😊 I haven’t told ANYONE yet though. I think he knows though. I always fake it. And before my brother told me I’m asking for attention. Now my mom tells me to act my age. I don’t know how to do life anymore though.
