I just love this trialogue (strange word!) - it's wonderful, really such a brilliant interview; Dave Grohl is super in this, and Billie and R.J. Cutler are at peace with him doing the interview and they are also happier than ever to be connecting with one another again. I'm a 68 yr. old fan of Billie's who's read almost every article and seen most interviews, but this is one I'll really treasure - it's special. I love how well I can relate to Billie - have never felt like that with any other artist before, not even when I was a teen and had all of my 'pretend' idols that I really didn't relate to. Now I'm a 29 year old PhD student in Computer Science...totally different path than Billie's but still relate to her SO MUCH. She's soo intelligent, authentic and most of all knows what she wants and does not allow anyone else to interfere with her beliefs! And she's so caring and kind, but yet is herself, dresses however she wants to, sits however she wants to etc.

And yeah, I have actually learned so much from her, as I grew up to be 'obedient' and 'perfect' ...so I used to struggling with just doing everything everyone else wanted me to do, being afraid to speak up, take space, etc....but Billie has inspired me to change this! AND I'm so happy for the younger generation...they can look up to Billie, a true artist, that is not picture-perfect, not afraid to good around, but still is so caring and kind.

What I like the most about Billie is how authentic she is and so open to show herself as real not pretending to like everybody, that's the reason that she conects soul to soul with the people that appreciates her work, the talent she has is so great and is atemporal that gets not only people of her same age, i'm 12 years older than her and I can feel every song and understand it, I'm sure she's gonna be a reference for very generations and his brother too, they're are very talented. PD. Does someone knows what is the name of the Joaquin Phoenix's film she talked about ?

Having no reason to have a film production company fund a production on a life that sees no reason for a documentary to be made on it is totally awesome. It’s like throwing production company money into a project that’s lead has no relevance to one soul in the public domain at point of conception. What an industry. It is literally full of chancers. The way Grohl totally seems to forget that EVERYONE is ALWAYS making a documentary of their own lives these days! I am what they’re calling an “elder millennial”(ew) so I’m part of a generation who has the advantage of living in a world both without ANY social media and one which feels utterly dependent on it. Given that as a teenager the closest thing to social media I experienced (and I’m talking 18-19 cuz there was NONE in high school in the mid 90’s) was chat rooms with ZERO video. I’m always both kinda disappointed that there isn’t a ton of footage from when I was a teen and younger AND crazy relieved I didn’t have to deal w the negatives of that while I actually WAS a teen. I really feel for kids now when it comes to how over saturated their lives are with other peoples talent (to judge themselves against) and how exposed their own actions have the potential to be to utter strangers. I’m also jealous of the amazing opportunities which access to an audience social media gives them. Lol….must suck though to be disenchanted of one’s own delusions of grandeur way younger than we were! Hard to feel like you’re the best at anything when the tiny screen in your pocket shows you countless people who do everything that you do better. No wonder why everyone’s become so neurotic!! It would be a miracle if we weren’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ Annnnnd rant commenced🤦🏻‍♀️
