I’ve read it’s a reference to the owner of Wildflower Cases who is the heartbroken woman Billie consoled and then she fell for the woman’s guy, Jesse. Later we learn Jesse told Billie he would never love again and guilted her into staying. When she left, he fell for someone else immediately! She snickers.

My fav keeps changing each time I listen to the album, which must be a sign of a great album. But I agree with you about comparing with TTPD. Taylor's songs are like solving acrostic puzzles and clever rhyme schemes. Billie's songs unravel your very soul. As songwriters, these two are not comparable at all.

Definitely a sign of a great album and honestly I couldn’t agree more. They’re all so good. Oh yes totally, they’re fantastic in their own ways, I think all writers are. Hey I’m late to the party but please don’t stop reacting unless you lose happiness in doing so! I have the notification bell on and I’m tuned in :) To give some perspective I’m not seeing anyone else commenting on this so sorry if I missed it but the diner is from the perspective of her stalker! Some cool facts is Billie produced and wrote a lot of this album! Billie and Finneas ( her brother) discussed in an Apple Music interview with Zane lowe for HMHAS that Finneas left Billie alone a lot with this album and got frustrated and said he didn’t wanna make music anymore. Billie is credited for production and engineering in this album. She’s the youngest person to win two Oscar’s breaking an 87 year record. She’s the only woman and second person to ever sweep the big 4 at the Grammy awards. And she’s the third and youngest artist to hit 100M monthly listeners (the other two being 1-The Weeknd, 2-Taylor swift) At the age of 22 I think it’s safe to say she’s a legend
