Well, as a singer, I think she was really scared or stressed, and that impacted her breath support when she started the performance, but she became confident after looking at her brother. And yes, people think hitting high notes is difficult (yes, some are indeed), but singing in that style requires a lot of breath control to remain on pitch all the time and avoid nasality or straining. She did a great job without in-ear monitors on top of that.

Finneas’ production is so moving in its subtlety yet ethereal atmosphere. I recommend watching the video where they explain how they made it.
