Well, as a singer, I think she was really scared or stressed, and that impacted her breath support when she started the performance, but she became confident after looking at her brother. And yes, people think hitting high notes is difficult (yes, some are indeed), but singing in that style requires a lot of breath control to remain on pitch all the time and avoid nasality or straining. She did a great job without in-ear monitors on top of that.

This song really moves me. I was a happy child, but after my teens and coming of age I just rarely felt happy. Always felt lacking, and not good enough.
