Finneas’ production is so moving in its subtlety yet ethereal atmosphere. I recommend watching the video where they explain how they made it. Billie perfectly captures the sound of our generation and in this specific song the literal interpretation of Barbie’s story, and the more prominent, emotional interpretation of how so many people feel when the decide to hope. The reveal of having her back to the audience to symbolize not finding her individual purpose as a singer to turning around, facing the audience, becoming "what she was made for" as an analogy that serves the song and it's movie, as well as Billie's own life (as expressed in interviews on the topic). Simple, effective, and visually stunning. Bravo, Billie. Bravo, Finneas.

Lol I don't even think it would crack the top 50.... you do know there used to be a time where good movies were made every year and they had great songs in them that were nominated...sung by generational talents....Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Adele, Judy Garland, Phil Collins.... It wasn't even the best performance of the night for Christ sake lol... Ryan Goslings performance blows this out of the water.

The way her voice suddenly becomes so clear at the end 2:44 “something I wait for” is just stunning. A reminder of how vocally versatile she has become, even if she opted for the “whisper singing” she is known for in this song. In the Vanity Fair video about how they made the song, she said about choosing this specific falsetto delivery when she could have done anything else, “Now I have all these choices, I have an instrument that I can play with and it’s really amazing” and that made me so happy. Her voice has matured beautifully!

Jesus loves you ❤️ so so much. It is his desire to be with you. He longs for you. All you have to do is repent and give up all sin to follow him. His word says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." If you are going through anything, he is right there waiting for you, constantly waiting for you to come to him. God gave up everything he loved through his son Jesus just for the chance that you might love him back. He is waiting with open arms. And time is short. These are the last days. I say all this because I care and don't want any of you to perish and neither does he. Please turn to him and repent now while there is still time. He loves you. The God of all creation actually loves you. There are things that don't always make sense in this life, things that cause us to blame God, and believe me I've been there too over some extremely heart-wrenching situations but he is a God who will never leave us nor forsake us so long as we stay with him. He is the complete expression of love. Just give him a chance. His heart longs for you. He chose you when he planned creation. You are not a mistake. His thoughts towards you outnumber the grains of sand. He died for you. The God of all creation let himself be nailed to a cross and suffer for you so you don't have to. Please make the right decision to repent and turn to Jesus to receive salvation now while there is still time, because it is almost the end. All you have to do is believe in your heart and confess with your mouth and say "God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner in need of your Grace. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Please forgive me God for all my sins and please come into my heart and my life Jesus. I confess that Jesus is Lord and I make you Jesus, Lord and saviour of my life in Jesus name. Amen." Also be on the lookout for the mark of the beast soon to come. This will be something that ALL will be required to take either on/in their right arm or forehead and will be necessary to buy and sell things and essentially live. No matter what, do not take this mark because those who take it may be beyond saving.

My little girl just moved away. She just turned 20 a few weeks ago. I was divorced and she lived with her mother the last 5 years. I did my job as a provider and paid my child support and alimony. Health insurance. We went out to dinner all the time and she came over but we never really connected again. I miss her more than anything in my life. My soul hurts. Its a pain i cant explain. I love you kid and always have your back. Only the best wishes for you. This song I heard the day she left. It haunts me to the bone. Honestly because through the divorce i somehow started feeling a lot like this song and never really got my mojo back.
