I owe Billie and Finneas everything for this song. Ilomilo is about the constant fear of losing someones love and affection and wanting to protect them, its a phobia. Im going through that i just dont feel like im enough for my friends and family. I feel like im going to lose them not just physically but mentally as well. Usually in songs theres at least a few lyrics i hate or they dont make sense. But i love every. Single. Lyric. In this song, sometimes i cry listening to this. I want people to know im that friend that will do anything for them, but nobody will give me bug enough chances. Also the beat and the melody is so beautiful and the harmonies i can literally not get enough of it. It gives me a vibe ive never felt before, i feel cold listening to this.

this is hitting different lately, it basically describes my relationship with one of my best friends, ive wanted to protect her ever since i met her. meaning i would jump into a pit of fire for this girl, ive literally gotten into multiple fights protecting her and have the scars to prove it. we've always just had this really special bond, not even romantic or anything just like love that goes so much deeper than that, and i tell her everything and she does the same, weve spent so many nights just talking to each other about everything, forgetting about time and everything and everyone else. i can easily say shes my favourite person on this planet. since the early spring shes been struggling a lot more and last week just got sent to a camp type thingy for people who are mentally struggling to get help, and i have no idea how long shes gonna be there, where it is, or even the full extent of what it is. all i know is the last thing she said to me over text before she left, i keep replaying it in my head and im freaking out because ive always felt like a big brother to her in a way, just be her protecter and help her through everything and i cant do that now and its just stressful you know. i just want to be able to give her a hug and tell her that everythings gonna be alright but i cant do that now. i dont even know dude. if youre crazy enough to have actually read this whole thing i love you and i wish you well.
