Seriously, when you go to your music acadamy, how many teachers are there who can actually teach you something?
@bari13483 жыл бұрын
Yes, but someone as skilled as Julia can benefit from learning music theory. I am convinced that as creative as she is, as she drills down into music theory and its complexities, she can only improve, to be able to play with anyone in any genre. Plus music school will teach her how to play in a group, which I suspect she has not had a lot of. Any long time band member can tell you that playing in the band or orchestra is a whole different thing. And when she gets hired as a session musician, she has to read those notes, that chart, and try to get it right the first time, because studio time is money. I have no doubt that she will become one of the world's great session musicians when she's out of school. If she is lucky enough to become a famous musician, well Amen Sister! If not, she will have all the work she can handle by knowing all the fundamentals of music.
@devanmuse73003 жыл бұрын
@@bari1348 @Bari I think you're a little dazed about the modern recording music industry. It only costs money in the studio if you're a hiphop kid, and then thats the business model in itself. Most professional recordings can be done with a laptop, mixer, preamp. Especially for a bass input. Studio time being charged for became obsolete with the invention of digital music, you aren't throwing away tape for bad takes. Studios upcharge because you can do it in your bedroom, as you've noticed by amateur Julia, or now-professional Finneas brother of Billie Eilish, how impactful that can actually be.
@bari13483 жыл бұрын
I tend to agree as I have a whole studio at home. However, I predict that Julia will be playing with top pros at some point and then she has a good chance of seeing those fancy big recording studios. @@devanmuse7300
