one does not simply learn how to dance like Michael Jackson from steps and numbers. you have to watch him and feel the rhythm, feel the bass start and do the pelvic thrust, not by counting but by feeling the change and shift in the music. Let the music control you. Don't try to dance, let the music move you. What do you think?

Feeling and losing yourself is key, but some people have to count to get the basics down. You can try and try to let the music move you, but if your dancing looks crappy and not sharp at all, it's time to just work on little things and for some people that's steps and numbers, then you can feel the music.
