Nope, not the poor man's saxophone. The Kazoo is an ancient African instrument that predates the Saxophone by thousands of years. The two are not to be compared, two very different instruments for two very different purposes. It's only become viewed as a toy after the west took it and bastardized it.

y0sh1100 That's an illusion. Most people use it but don't know how to actually play. The first step is knowing how to sing and most people aren't good at that so their kazoo playing sounds terrible.
