@@agp1377 I beg to differ. What is the definition of a city? What is the global yardstick for measuring a city? Is building factories the hallmark of a city? Dose Nigeria even have a single city or over glorified ghetto with no sidewalks, underground drainage systems or any of the rudimentary infrastructure of a half baked city. Let’s not talk about Europe or America, but you may need to visit Rwanda to see the format of a basic African city. I agree that Abaribe is a village but Nnewi is bigger unplanned village, if truth be told. However, both are great testaments of Igbo ingenuity. You cannot have an unplanned urban settlement claiming to a city unless you lower the global standard.

Mansions are not a sign of development. Boasting about another man’s wealth will not help poor citizens. Where are hospitals? Factories? Tech startups? That’s true development. Big tacky houses will not increase Nigeria’s HDI.
