Looks like this trip took a lot out of you. A lot more traveling than fishing, plus coming in after other fishermen is tough to manage. I’m sure all of you will remember this trip, heavy legs but Mike Jr never had any problems, had a free ride on daddy’s back. Lots of fallen trees in that creek, that fish that broke you off was a giant, looking at the splashing, you never had a chance. Like you said Bill, sometimes Burt is a much better choice to fish.

My boy was about nine years old and he got his first big big fish. It was a big 19 lbs. 8 oz. or something brown big female and the water was high and crappy and I didn’t even think we’re gonna be able to go and he wanted to try I didn’t even get my rod out of the car and all here it was yelling fish on dad, he was actually in the Great Lakes angler magazine. My wife sent a write up about it and they put them in the magazine. I’ll take a picture and forward it to you.

That looks like the coolest little steelhead creek ever. It's my favorite type of spot. I've mentioned a private stretch my brother in law has, fortunately it's not a hike, but not a lot of holes. Just one good 30 yard stretch. But it sucks trying to beat other people in a space so small. Entertaining as ever, it's always good.to see Mike again w/ your grandkid. Edit: the holes less than a couple miles from the car, THATS my kind of creek 😂
