Great video. It is shame that you were not able to battle with Manni because of a smashed pipe.I am just curious to know if you are allowed to run pipe guards? Do you run a heavier gauge pipe like a gnarley? Does FMF make pipes especially for you, or are they just off the shelf? I would think a heavier guage Fatty would be the way to go. I hope that you get healed up and are able to come to the Canadian round, we missed seeing you last year.

I enjoyed your commentary on this Billy. It answered a few questions I had after watching this entire RedBull live stream of the event. At the time I couldn't figure out how Manny pulled the gap on you after he passed you. Was thinking maybe the pushing on the hill you did right when he got by and figured maybe you had some extra difficulty in that off camber section after. You couldn't tell from the footage as it was shot from the heli but that off-camber section looked very challenging. Had to be. Manny rode it well and they didn't show you in it. Based on the gap Manny had shortly after that I figured maybe you got gassed due to some more pushing up hill. Turns out it was your pipe. Bummer. Nice Race tho. I think you win it otherwise. * shrug * I'm curious and hate the fact that Jarvis had to start in the 2nd row because he can't race as well in the prologue. Do you think the prologue should be more hard enduro vs road racing? Seems to me penalizing a hard enduro rider, one of the GOATs, because he isn't as good of a road racer is not best way to coordinate qualifying. * shrug *. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. If possible. GL in the next event. Rooting for you to win the Championship.

After dealing with a hard crash at the start and then the bike issues a second place is far beyond amazing, no other rider could have done what you did, this is one for the history books for sure.

Thought you rode really well Bill. Well done fella. For my two pennethp though some things heavily discussed on the way home we thought need to change. Those narrow taped lanes in Carl's became roadblocks and need to be twice the width holding back better able riders with nowhere to go. The no coaching lines rule was clearly ignored by many but no penalties. Those so called track guides also looked the other way that we witnessed at least three times so how many others happened. Did I mention those commentators on the TV I watched when we got back clueless annoying corporate slimeballs. Thank god we all make the effort to go. Next year this year's top 15 should be seeded to row 1 start for next year and the prologue which has little if any relevance to Hard Enduro skill and ability. See you in Romania.

Fair play to you Billy, after a crash at the start, a bent front disc and a flattened pipe - to achieve 2nd place is incredible. I'm sure you've been asked at least 1000 times, but is there any reason why you wouldn't add a little protection for the exposed sections of the front pipe? Great effort, love seeing you ride👍👍

Should never penalize a guy for getting water. I think, I had an issue with getting water outside of the pits. It was a 96° f 100% humidity. Someone literally took a bottle out of the person's hand that was about to give it to me. Said no, he has to go to the pits. If I had the bottle in my hand, I needed water so badly. I would have said, "Take my number down, disqualify me, and drank it." The rule was changed, but to take water from someone is not right, I think

Bill watched the race jumping up and down on the sofa being the best rider since jarvis ..full of good agvice trying to tell the mrs what you should have done etc etc she was not interested !!!! Why dont you ever used a pipe guard ? ..none of the top guys do ? I know husky can afford a pipe or two but seeing as the off-road market thrives from the sales of protective pieces cant you and the kecks crew come up with something to add to your ever expanding empire ?

Wait, what you were given a penalty for getting water? If thats true, that is not right what are they trying to do kill you guys? You shouldn't be keeping water from competitors! Water has got to given to competitors. I was about to be handed a water bottle one day during a 2 hr 98° 100% humidity day and a bystander literally grabbed his arm said no he has to go to the pits! When i got to the pits about 5 miles of pretty hard trail, ill just say i told him what i thought about someone who would do something like that! That rule has now been clarified in that club and your allowed to get water medical help and a couple other things anywhere on the course!

I was watching other peoples videos to try & see you coming through the pack as you were pinned & it was good seeing you passing people like a loon!! I noticed your flat pipe appeared some time at end of Carls Diner so that wouldn't have helped! Otherwise without those disasters you had to have been favourite! When i first saw the factory teams dump the carbon protection from the pipe i thought it was really bizzare given it's so lightweight and can save a really exposed part like the pipe.
