@@echlz5746 Yeah attendance has been basically stagnant since 2011 according to wikipedia (when you account for covid of course). Stanley cup viewership since 2008 is basically the same story, you could make an argument for decreasing but it doesn't go back far enough to really tell. Would be interesting to see stats for youtube though, that's where we're seeing all the stuff OP is talking about.

Cool video. Do more. One thing: Hockey and Lacrosse are very closely related - many Hockey players also play Lacrosse as well. It would be interesting to have something like Football vs. Basketball vs. Hockey. Also, having an o-lineman punting passing and kicking is kind of a skill offset.

It may have been intentional that it wasn't in the football players discipline per se. Once you consider no one was hitting you like in lacross and it wasn't on ice at 35km/hr for the hockey they had to do something to take him out of his element.

My favorite athlete when I was in college at Michigan State was Mike Labinjo (RIP)... He was offered a scholarship to play football, hockey, or basketball. He chose football, but often practiced with Izzo and the basketball team. In the off-season, he trained with the Maple Leafs.

Can already say with firm confidence that GENERALLY SPEAKING of course, hockey players are the better all around athletes of the major sports. Meaning most hockey players are at least competent or can easily pick up other sports to some degree of success to where it’s not just funny to watch, whereas just about all the others would struggle to stand on skates, and be all that great at other sports as well. A lot of football players are decent basketball players, but they just grew up playing both. Most hockey players can play baseball, basketball, soccer, football to SOME degree
