brilliant. I.ve bought every album billy has released over the years, I learned to play the guitar listening to his stuff, (that songbook with the flexi disc, I still have it!) other bands or "acts" have customers, billy has fans, theres a big difference, billy bragg you are still a one man clash, brilliant.

A brilliant song, utterly brilliant, manages to blend Patriotism, Racism, and be a strong anti war song at the same time and this live version is as good if not better than the studio version I have loved forever

I love billy bragg, he's one of my favorie humans on earth - but all religion is poison, and islam is the "motherload of bad ideas" to quote sam harris and doesn't deserve respect. Liberal people are very quick to criticize white christianity, but it is benign compared to islam. Racism is wrong, as is 'islamophobia' in the sense that in its ignorance it becomes racist, but as religion it certainly deserves no reverance. Liberals have failed on the issue of islam.

This is a short-sighted comment. Liberals who criticize Christianity also dislike Islam--all bind ideologies, in fact. That's why Billy's our warrior. It can be hard to discern this amid the firestorm of hatred for all Muslims from right-wing Western Christians, and the resulting concern for minority rights that results. The fact is that liberals are not to blame for the "motherload of bad ideas" just because the right is handling the hatred.

0.27 - well done Billy - there are serious issues within the Islamic community across Europe and instead of you adressing them your cute,cuddly liberal sensibilities tell you to dismiss it all and consider the people who have legitimate concerns as being either racist and/or bigoted.
