In the summer of 1975 my wife, son and myself stopped by Graceland after visiting her sister in Alabama. When we stopped by E was in California and you pulled up in a Jeep Wrangler and asked us a few questions. You then invited us three to go onto the grounds and warned us not to take anything as a keepsake. After about an hour we left we heard the alarm on our 1974 Corvette sounding. US 51 was not real busy and there was a large parking lot where the car was. They didn't get but scared the hell out of us. I am now 75 and will always remember the day we went to Graceland and met E's cousin Billy. Thank you.

I first met Billy & Jo in1979 but have known them personally since winning the Elvis window decorating contest where Billy & Danny were judges at the Days Inn Brooks Rd in 1986. Billy & Jo are delightful! It's easy to see why Elvis loved and trusted them.They are intelligent, witty, decent, honest, Christian people and it is my honor & privilege to know them. You were there as a young boy to witness every moment with Elvis and all that took place from the moment this wonderful miracle happened with Elvis. Yes, a miracle! A blessing from God! I just can’t even grasp how excited you must have been to be a part of what was taking place in his life and yours and grew in awe and wonder and lived and watched Elvis become the most talented, amazing, performer and human being that this world will ever witness! Elvis changed this world with his powerful angelic voice. Just listen to his music and you will be changed forever. He was different, unique, his own. No one can compare or ever will reach his standards of achievements! He was one of a kind. He gives us all purpose when we listen to his music and feel his compassion for what he loved to do. You presented the document as proof of what ‘really’ happened, in a similar way as to what was Elvis’ last movie as complete undisputed fact. If you intended do a thorough report on this in your research of course it’s understandable and wonderful that you used a “historical document “ in your presentation. But this entire issue of the inaccuracies of your findings would have been prevented if you had only talked to Billy and the family first as they would have 1st hand accounts as stated from their side as well as Elvis’ side of the story as told to them. I don’t know why you didn’t do that to provide a fuller account based on all sides. Most researchers go to the source such as the family members to add substance and weight to either back up or dispute a document on file. I am not taking anything away from the work you do in research however if you are going to present your findings to the general public you need to do a more complete and thorough job in your research. As you can see when you don’t you wind up potentially misrepresenting the actual truth and not providing a complete account of events. Documents don’t always tell the complete story just like a picture which may “say a thousand words” yet still not reveal the truth of what occurred. That’s my answer to your comment and hope you take this criticism in the respectful way I hope it comes across to help in your future research.
