I was probably 8 or 9 when this song came on the radio and It’s one of the few memories I have of getting goosebumps as a kid. I will never forget how the smashing Pumpkins have made me feel and made this life all the much more worth living! These songs are designed to do that to us. Billy is about as deep as a person can get! He picks up on the beautiful emotions that are drifting through each and every one of us, and then encapsulates them in a song. I have about as much admiration for him as a human, than anyone I have ever come across.

@peterthirdandthebridges3 жыл бұрын
@@rshone99 what’s wrong with his singing there?
@rshone993 жыл бұрын
@@peterthirdandthebridges Nothing! But he is certainly not autotuned. To paraphrase Billy albums are going to be around forever, they are your legacy so the pumpkins have always done things like layer guitars 50 times to get that thick tone, not really reproducible live, to get the best recording possible. In that regard they have probably always autotuned the vocals on their records so it is not some kind of "gotcha". Conversely I do not think they have ever used autotune live. I have live dvds etc which are often processed afterward that even have Billy off key, let alone random youtube vids of their live performances of Billy hitting a wrong note. I picked I video you will not have to listen to for long to hear a mistake. "speak to me in a language I can hear", "hear" is clearly flat, not autotuned. Compare it to "deep in thought I forgive everyone" moments later.
@peterthirdandthebridges3 жыл бұрын
@@rshone99 it wasn’t meant as a “gotcha” the original comment implied autotune was bad, when it’s just not. A shit singer will still sound shot with the finest tuned autotune whereas it can take great singers over the edge into phenomenal.
