Great, underrated actor. Should have had a bigger film career than ended up having. One of the few actors who can really create, flesh out and inhabit characters. Russell Hammond and Steve Prefontaine in Without Limits were remarkable performances. Even the way he handled that story in the clip was far beyond what a typical performer is capable of in an interview setting.

Tonight I've started watching Where'd you go, Bernadette and saw he's in that too. I decided to Google him and was super surprised to find out he's the Golden God from Almost Famous, which is one of my fav movies. I then, googled him some more and ended up on this particular video and I cannot believe this super funny story is about my FAV person of all time, Mr. Robert Plant. Crudup, we're obvs meant to be. :)

My late grandad met Robert Plant when he was working back in the day. They got talking and Mr Plant invited him to listen to some of the music he was working on, ever the honest farm worker, he promptly told him it was "bloody rubbige." Which in his self made dialect meant that it was shit, as he preferred country and western style music. I kind of wish he'd been more polite but he was a hell of a character our old Eric was.
