There was a moment in the show were Cory says “hold on I’m processing” , and that was the one time I’ve ever seen him shaken by anything

I remember this scene. I thought he was shaken too when he said that. But then after Bradley explained everything, he said “You got me at Fred,” which made me think he wasn’t actually shaken. He knew what his decision was before Bradley finish explaining, at the mention of Fred’s name. This whole thing gave me the conclusion that he just said “he was processing” to let Bradley vent out her emotions. Like Billy said, Cory intuively knows how to deal with situations and understand people’s motivation at the moment. I think Cory was just doing his thing and let Bradley finish before telling his decision, using his intuition on how to deal with each individual. Also, i think he also said that to wrench out the full information of the situation, because after he said “he’s processing”, that’s when Bradley explained that he told Alex.

@@Dosmthnew I don't know if you have watched the whole of season 2, but I have to disagree that he is a manipulator. In my view, he is just a man whose work demands that he be first and foremost concerned with what's best for the business (ratings, sponsors etc.).. then anything else. However, unlike his predecessor who was immoral and remorseless in his actions, Cory still tries to do the "right thing" while doing what's best for the "ratings". Which is why he is arguably not doing such a great job because he is always conflicted, and as a CEO you can't be. You must always be ruthless and decisive. I'm not going to bring up examples in case you haven't seen the latest episodes, but I come back to the great work Billy Crudup has done to help us see that he is not like his predecessor and he values his work and his relationships and it's a daily struggle to strike a balance between the two. That can also be said of every character who's struggling to cope with the job that is The Morning Show.

Billy's spot-on portrayal of Cory reminds me of one very unique exec that I worked with at a huge financial institution whose family was SO wealthy, he worked for sport. His character was one of the best on the show, so likeable. Could not stand the overacting by Alex and Bradley, even Mitch. I will have to rewatch it to remember some of the brilliant lines he delivered, oh so smoothly!

I really couldn’t stand the overacting of Bradley. Like the eye squints and everything especially that screaming part in the begining. On top of that, I hate how obvious her hair was, like was there no professionals that can place a wig correctingly? It looked totally fake. I just couldn’t believe Bradley’s character because of all those accumalitive factors. Alex was slightly overacted but I can still believe the character, the story. With Mitch, I just don’t understand his character so I couldn’t believe it. Maybe he was overacted but I can’t judge it because I essential don’t understand him. Also, I think Lizzie was overly dramatic. Not sure if her character was meant to be that way, or if it was just overacted.
