I was Robins Landlord back in the "Mork & Mindy" days he had an apartment at "Peyton Hall" in Hollywood, so did McLane Stevenson, of Mash, Robin was such a shy person It's incredible to think he's gone now
@morrisal
@morrisal 9 жыл бұрын
j.denino57 Haven't you heard that the biggest 'clowns' are the shyest people in private? Haven't you heard that they all cry inside whereas in the public eye they are just "funny and loud big kids"? Think of Charlie Chaplin. Do you think in private he was "funny" and made hilarious stunts all the time? No way. Comedians are usually the most bitter and melancholic people in the world. And they're generally very lonely. "Funny" very rarely means "happy". I know it, because im a clown type too.

@@cottoncandyfriends8933 No, Lewy Body Dementia did that, it's hard to accept but in his situation taking his own life while he still had the cognitive function and physical ability to do so was almost certainly the least horrible thing he could have done for himself and those who loved him. The disease he was suffering with is that horrible. The whole thing was and is utterly sad. Robin had a Charisma and Talent that touched people and resonated with them in such a way that I think he will always be missed by those who knew him, even if only indirectly through his work. ❤

Absolutely! As someone who grew up in the early 90's with basically the golden age of Disney movies, we felt like we were on a magical ride in movies like Aladdin and Hook, and that was mostly because of Robin. The great thing about him too is that he was just as much of a genius in dramatic movies as he was in comedies in my view. Good Will Hunting, What Dreams May Come, Dead Poets Society, the list goes on... Along with names like Steven Spielberg, Robin Williams is one of the most influential names in the movie/entertainment industry. He was THAT impactful!

I had the ultimate pleasure of having Robin shake my hand, ask my name & how I enjoyed myself on my one & only extra work on his movie Man Of The Year. He took time to greet & thank all the extras just as things were ending for the night. This was about 2 AM & I was thrilled the whole bus ride home. You could tell it was not just something he wanted to do but loved doing. It will be a moment I will treasure even more now. Just so sad what happened to this wonderful, loving soul. a couple of guys wrote a book about the easiest celebrities to approach for autographs, and Billy Crystal got the lowest grade, on account of one situation they witnessed, when a young girl about 12 years old, and she asked him for an autograph, and he said "the last thing I need is to give an autograph to some girl with braces" she was completely crestfallen, so as far as I'm concerned he's a douche.

Six years later and I still cry when I see Robin or hear a tribute to him. I hope he’s out there somewhere seeing just how much he was loved. Some people you just never get over. 💔

Amazing stories. I love hearing the personal side of things it gives this feeling of connectivity :) When someone is that close to someone who passes no amount of words can do any justice. RIP Robin.

My mom died on july 1st 2014, I was so sad all the time and I was watching all my Robin Williams show or monologue and for the time I was watching, I laugh and cried, then on august 11th, I heard the news of his death and my heart sank, could not breathe, lost my friend even though I never met him in person, that how he felt for every one of us, he was a friend, a dad, a brother, a lover, he touched our soul, our heart with his talent, his smile and his humanity, he is miss everyday of every week of every month and every years, thank you Captain oh my Captain

I feel that every time we lose an entertainer we are being robbed of so much talent. I just think that heaven is a place of peace and laughter. Imagine, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, to name a few.

10 years he’s been gone and I still cry. He was my mom’s childhood, and mine. Oh captain, my captain, we miss you dearly. RIP to the greatest comedian and kindest person the world has ever seen ❤

It's still so hard to believe he's gone. 6 1/2 years later, it still hurts your heart. I always wanted to meet him given I'm only 100 or so miles away from San Francisco but, sadly I never got that chance. To quote Aladdin, "Genie, you're free." 🙏🏽🙏🏽💙💜

The unlikely friendship and bond between Mike Wazowski and the Genie is represented heavily here, and it’s excellent...

I never new him or got to see his act. But i felt deeply saddened by his death. No other celebrity death hit me like the news of robin williams. 5 years later and i still feel sad we lost such an amazing entertainer. He was a amazing actor and comedian. There will never be another like him.
