Not to gainsay such a wonderful authority, but “Gallus” is not just a Scottish term. It’s Latin for “rooster” (Gallus domesticus is the scientific name for farm chickens/roosters.) So I suppose it makes perfect sense for a descriptor meaning fancy, proud, showy, or otherwise splendiferous. It’s some mighty erudite slang to my ears. I thoroughly enjoyed this show, especially your charming guest. Thanks again for putting more joy into the world. We all need it!

It is often fascinating to learn things like this. I grew up in the heart of Appalachia in West Virginia and there are old phrases like this there which I did not realize are old Scottish terms. West Virginia holds a lot of old Scottish even in our accent. Some older Appalachians can sound Scottish in their accents from time to time.

Being a little kid and seeing Hook really impacted me. Rufio was like the coolest dude, rad, tough, but also fair and good hearted. He is a leader, flashy, and standoffish with Peter, but once he shows he is Pan he becomes his best ally and friend! Cool lessons for a kid who maybe is a bit edgy like i was haha.

Omggg, these guys talking about dance (which is a gigantic part of my life) made my week 🥺 Thanks for shouting out dancers Dante, we appreciate it!! Breaking is RAD and SFB is an *amazing* company! And Billy really does have a nice point. Dom, for his part, *can* dance -- Moonhaven anyone? That scene dancing with his kids tho...really beautiful choreo from Roisin Whelan! Honestly might just be me (🙃🤣) but I think it'd be AMAZING to have a choreographer on. Dana Wilson is an LA-based choreographer and movement coach to actors (for none other than "Elvis", in theaters now) -- and she's a GIGANTIC Ringer. I think she'd be awesome! K, I'll stop there, sorry but these guys hit on a huge passion of mine and I was floating 🥰 thank you so so much Billy and Dom and TFO crew!

Billy, if you have an interest in martial arts I highly recommend looking into HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts). It focuses on the study and practice of weapons from European history, and is based on manuscripts written by historical fencing masters. Most of these manuscripts date to between the 14th and the 19th centuries and detail the use of a wide variety of weapons both in and out of armour. Some of these include the longsword, often the German or Italian styles, sword and buckler, Scottish broadsword, and even wrestling with daggers. There are clubs and even a few full time schools around the world studying it and other historical martial arts, as well as a thriving online community on KZbin and elsewhere. Thank you both so much for the authenticity that you offer, it is truly a gift.
