I took my wife to see this in 2006 we were so lucky to see Liam Mower as Billy..My wife passed away recently but I will never forget what she said to me after seeing this.."This was the best thing I have ever seen n my life..I will take this to the grave with me x

All the Billy's I've seen have been amazing in terms of dancing and acting ability but I would say that none of the ones I've seen have been as good as Liam vocally. His voice is really good considering he was only about 12 at the time. If he looks after it properly he could have a good future in musicals.

I think Liam dancing is amazing definitely his strongest part of playing Billy... I'd probably say Elliott Hanna was one of the best for overall dance, singing and acting... But Liam was one of the originals... It's an amazing show and all the Billy's and Michaels have been talented kids down the years

watching this is the theater made me start my ballet, tap and jazz back up i nkow regret stopping as im 15 and am only grade 3 as i started last week after quitting 4 years ago thank you to the people that made this show as it inspired me and other chrildren xx.

I think Liam is the definitive Billy Elliot. He looks -- and sounds -- as if he's from where the musical is to take place, and none of the new kids, while terrific gymnasts and dancers, have been able to duplicate this look and sound. Liam's definitely the gold standard, and I'm glad it's HIS voice on the cast album. A shame he had to grow up!

I love the use of the northern accent because its very easy to over do the accent but this boy does it amazingly well. Also he manges to sustain the accent throughout another hard thing to be able to do. This boy is incredibly talented.

I don't get this audiance however! When ever I see Bill Elliot, the audiance always starts clapping as he's turning. He even gets a standing ovation when he's finished from the people up the back! This audiance just seems to wait till he's finished then cheer. He deserved far more than that! He's just pure perfection! Beyond adjectives!

I have to say, being in the biz for the past 20 yrs. I HATE when there are 10 cameras giving every different angle possible, when all we want to see is what the director intends for us to see. The audiences view. We miss so much when they film it like this. That being said... Liam, BRAVO!

I've never seen the Billy Elliot film nor, unfortunately, the show (although, of course, I know the gist of the story), but there are a number of show clips which occur on KZbin and elsewhere which have a certain something about them and make me feel I missed out on the experience. (I think I was busy elsewhere at the time.) Thanks for posting, David.
