If you put your guitar in The freezer for two hours then take a can of air and lightly spray it upside down you will get those long checking marks instead of the spiderweb ones. You won’t have to keep cycling you can just do it in one go. Just make sure you lightly and from far away.

Taking off / dulling back the gloss with acetone is a brilliant idea ! I’ll definitely be using that on my next relic. What type of air gun did you use to speed up the evaporation ? Or did you just use an empty spray gun
@8BombCustom4 жыл бұрын
I have Spraygan Devilbis. I pour pure acetone into it and set up a small flow with a large volume of air. This allows the stain to dry immediately. Practice on a different surface before trying this on your guitar. The acetone stain should not flow and dry out in a second.

Absolutely love your work. Does Vaschenko make any Les Paul guitars using Spanish Cedar instead of Mahogany?

@8BombCustom4 жыл бұрын

If your "manga vintage box" is too slow, you can instantly weather check the finish by spraying it with an upside-down can of compressed air.
@8BombCustom4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. During my practice, I have tried almost all methods of influencing the varnish. It was compressed air, and the winter frost, and carbon dioxide fire extinguishers, and even liquid nitrogen. But it doesn't work well. Nothing except my "mega vintage box" does the correct fragmentation of the varnish with the correct pattern.
@WarriorOfGhengisKhan4 жыл бұрын
@@8BombCustom Odd. I've been able to steer the direction of the weather checking with a compressed air can held upside-down. But if your fridge works for you, it works. Anything is better than a razor blade. :)

Just one small piece of advice...if you're going to take the time to dub your videos in English (which you speak very well by the way), you should either further reduce the original audio, or mute it completely. There are times where your original audio and your English dubs mix together making it difficult to hear everything you are saying. And while I'm here, I have to say, the work you put into your guitars is amazing.
