Hey thanks for showing us how you did this. My machine did not come with a plate to block the flow on the bottom. Guess I’ll have to add that first.

I used a shop vac 6.5hp rigid with some 10 pvc & connectors with screws for gutters. Works good but tough to get through the hangers.

Nice job on your video !! Have had my Billy Goat vac for two seasons now and many times I steer clear from using the hose because of having to take off the cover plate on the vac intake . I will look into rigging up some type of permanent solution . Thanks for the great idea !! B&A .

If you like having the vac in the first place, this mod will make it a little more convenient.

Thanks for getting back with me ! I will have to put it on my KZbin channel when I get it modified . I stopped posting videos because people watch them and I get no feedback . So such in the case of your video , I wanted to make sure you know that your creative design to a common problem with the vac was very much appreciated . Thanks again , B&A .

so if you don't add the blastgate, do you have to install and uninstall to go from vac to hose vac?

Did you ever do the gutter cleaning extension?

I did not, no. Always wondered how that might work out though.

Thanks for the video, I'm wanting to get a Lawn Vac and I'm thinking DR or Billy goat, I've found some amazing deals on Craiglist and FB, looks like you've had good service from your BG? Would buy another one?

Never been happy with any vacs like these or the handheld stihl ones. They simply dont have enough suction and seem to clog often. I think im still better with a rake and some guys sadly. If they made something with like 10x the suction and non clog that actually saves me time and my back then im in. Cool idea tho

The mouth inlet sucks. Its fix to the body!. You have to have Martha Stewart lawn that smooth as shit. The little wonder has a floating inlet which to me makes better sense. Also the back of the deck needs a rake to ruff up the compacted leaves so you can get them on a second pass.

Why can't you just leave the house on as billy goat intends.

You just put a plastic bag or cap over the end of the hose - job done
