The blades are sharp, very sharp. The one minus that everyone should be aware of is you need to be very careful taking the cutting unit out of the box. There’s a plastic guard so you don’t cut fingers as you take the main unit out of the box but it’s not taped down. As I took the unit out, I ended cutting a piece of my shirt. The plastic guard moved and my shirt touched one of the blades.

Thanks! I am a woman in need of something to cut through stuff at the front of my property! I divorced a lowlife a year and a half ago and the guys I have been paying for two years to cut 3 acres seem to continue to leave that portion, and not just avoid it but are now leaving a little more each time. Now the tall weeds and stuff are encroaching closer to my house and I know my mower won't do the job! This is what I need!

Not so bad cee dee. Not so bad at all. Of course, the size of the rock is a factor. It's a good general rule to try and avoid large rocks, bees, stumps, bunnies, ticks, copperheads, and the forgotten dog chain connected to a 12" piece of rebar hiding underneath 18" of thick mid-June tall fescue. But if the rebar's gonna survive the Billy Goat, it better be some thick steel bud
