The Graham Association is ecumenical to the core, something the Lord detests and pleads every believer to come out of. Did he really compromise or did he seek to reach out to preach to more people? If he flat refused to work across the spectrum to find such opportunities then would that please you more? Im sure it would but millions less people would have heard. I have no doubt that you sincerely believe that he compromised in some way by sharing the occasional platform or shook hands with some Catholic leaders through the course of his ministry but let's face it Billy was not a Catholic, he was an Evangelical to the core all his life. People accused Jesus of being a glutton and a sinner because of the company he kept and the folks he reached out to. Billy understood that his calling was to preach the Gospel and only a dilusional person could deny that he took that calling up simply and faithfully all over the world for decades while also seeking to encourage the wider Church to do the same. In reality he spent very little time with Political leaders or Religious leaders of various denominations and the vast majority of his time with his small team, his family, studying, preparing and preaching. Ultimately God is his judge not you or me but to say he went astray I'd say that first its best to consider in what ways we have gone astray in thought, word or deed. Billy wasn't bound up too much in Denomination because he was an evangelist, his urgency was to preach Christ and call people to follow him and it's on those grounds he was operating. I'm fairly sure you can't be won over because your ideal for Billy Graham or in fact anyone else is to believe exactly as you believe in every detail of doctrine, to preach only from the KJV 1611 version (in spite of the fact that more recent archeological discoveries discoveries have given us an even better understanding of the Scriptures and the fact that language has moved on) who goes around railing against the Catholic church.

What a humble man indeed..and yes billy God would have being waiting for you..and now you are back with you're lovely wife and old friends.I watched a video about a hymn singer who sang at Billy's preaching venues for decades..his name was George Beverly shea ...and when this man sang Man U could tell he loved the lord..like he sung his heart out.Thosemen allhad amazing great faith.I watched a video about David Wilkerson another old time style of preaching and he called the prosperity gospel the one faith that satan will use in the end days to fool the church,,he said he could see a mega church starting up in New York..now he's died now..and that has happened with Hillsong.He is right he called it the accommodation gospel where they make it all nice to get people through those doors..also he said where the preacher is a CEO who gets paid as such..and like preachers used to only get a house with the church in the old days..and well some still do..and they got not so good pay as I knew of a kid who's dad was a Anglican minister and their house belonged to the church ..and he had not a lot as their car was always broken..but he was such a. Man of faith.
