Wow! This was unexpected! Even compared to Ashes Divide. Yeah you can hear signature Billy guitar art rock, swelling guitars and chords you can always recognise, but the songs and the genre dipping - I find this sounding like something between 90's EBM and dark wave, Depeche Mode, and Echo and the Bunnyman. I know he cited both as his influence but just listening to the first two songs, vocals do have Dave's manner of singing, while music resembles "Bring on the dancing horses". I mean this in the best possible way, beautiful album.

I like and respect Billy, and I like the 80's/Depeche Mode vibe in this, but honestly every song sounds the same. Same tone, same sounds, same speed, same dull choruses. It's a little "underwhelming".
