Not a bad song on the album i been a fan since 2007 and they just keep popping out good albums even with line up changes

Its good bands change a bit overtime so they dont get boring. Nightwish is changing gradual over time, from 'symphonic' metal to more of a bombastic movie'ish sound. I hope they make a more metal album again cause with floor they have gold in hands. (Shes great in this album also) But hey, maybe its something they like less themselves as they get older and change too. I think ill like this album to listen too. Its creative, still also a bit of the same, from silence moments to the bombastic changes i mean. So....i like it, but i would wish for some 'metal' 'hit' songs wich should be less bombastic and movie-ish. Just a good few stand alone rocksongs we can play on a party, work or whereever, to me, these songs you play when you go sit, take the time, and really listen and get into it. I like the album though. I think it will grow on me to when i will take the time to listen to it in its entirity

Marcos element was irreplaceable. They seriously miss his hard rock influence. Just listen to Thomas solo album and Tarot Mark's band . Sorely missed and I loved Nightwish. This is more like a sound track again. Marko you do not have to your just record and stay home!!!

OMG another level Nightwish has taken .. reading these negative comments I had to listen for myself ... composition and Floors vocals have taken this band's music into a whole beautiful phase .. I opened my heart and not just my ears to this album ... I'm ordering... naysayers .. yes you have your opinion .. still this music makes you smile .. Punch a hole in the sky .. and have a tear run down your cheek from the beauty of some songs .. they still carry the signature of Nightwish ... if you expect one sound you are one dimensional ...

Dont really know how much influence Marko had on the song writing but they have moved away from the metal symphonic metal we got used to. Last album i didnt even bought it because i only liked 3 songs. Lets see how this behaves.

Lots of people saying this isnt Nightwish! The studio album will always be the basics when these are played live they will be more colourful!!

I don't understand why Tuomas doesn't write songs for Floor's voice. She can sing anything. I prefer her versions of old songs. But I also prefer the old Nightwish songs. I would classify maybe a few of this album as metal. It's a good listen, but I was delighted with Epica's last album. It's symphonic metal which I love.

Since Marco left NW, the band has lost it's original spirit. Floor's voice needs a strong powerful male voice next to her to create the great NW duets from the past. This latest album to me has nothing to do with symphonic metal anymore. It's a disappointment.

Another disappointing Nightwish album. In Floor, they have their best vocalist (imo) but they never seem to use her to best effect. Not one standout track...just another bunch of ho hum songs.

Rather a mediocre musical than metal! Without innovation, spirit and heart. My advice to Nightwish: Better a good record once in three years than boring repetition of repetition every year. And Ms. Jansen, take care of your voice. Her voice sounded much better five years ago. If you don't give your vocal chords a rest, all your singing will sound like screaming. Well-intentioned!

Annoying. Same cookie cutter sound that they have been recycling for way over a decade. The Pumpkins died after Mellon Collie. Gish, Siamese Dream and Pices Iscariot = Best Pumpkins albums ever.

Corgans voice sounds weak on the first song, the beats are more like Tool but without the strong voice to back it up. It's mismatched to hell and sounds off.

Not always great, but always interesting, and still somehow, a pretty unique band that few,if any, have tried to copy, which is funny to me cuz I often think “ man, I wish these guys would cover the Smashing pumpkins etc”.in the end, Billy can write great songs, and they ROCK!

they are so great live still... this album isn't doing it for me. Lacks vocal hooks from one of the great vocal hook writers ever. Go figure.
