Keep in mind, this was back in the 90's and not to make excuses for Billy cause he's only 66, but ...... he's got many years of hard drug use behind him and a horrible accident. Yes, both of which are no fault but his own. But remember, these people are human just like us, with issues and back stories just like us, some of being not the greatest but he's here. Not gone, like many other people in the Rock and Roll profession. I'd rather have him here and giving us the best he can at this time period in his life than 6feet under and no longer walking this earth. But that's just me and the kind of human being I choose to be, greatful that he's still alive and kickin'. Too many in his profession have left us far too early in their career, he's got an Angel following him and I'm sure that Angel is glad they are getting a bit of a break these past couple of decades.

REAL Music by REAL musicians as Prince said. These fake, autotunes on everything “singers” of today can not TOUCH these legends! Yeah bloody loved 'Kings and Queens of the Underground' but I have to be honest and say I haven't kept up much. (Btw know this is an ancient comment and you'll be like "what's this guy blethering about??|" Which I have to admit is kinda fun, don't you think? When you find yourself going "ohhhh yeah"! I like it anyway)! Sorry bit delirious, I have man flu, I thought I was being attacked in bed by a giant frog in the morning yesterday and my gf pointed out... it was my foot in silly coloured socks! But yeah, I'd been avoiding music, cos bit autistic and therefore obsessive, got very addicted to things and used to work in music where you can have what you want and still get by. So I moved away from the city entirely, got sober and was bit wary of getting too rock n roll and it dragging me back to things -I know, sinful... but I realised I could enjoy all aspects now. And I was blown away by 'Kings and Queens...' If can be bothered with old comment, what did you think of it? The last one I'd heard previously had 'Scream' on there... and then my memory withers like an old man's........... bollocks, can't think of anything!

@LeenaStark3 жыл бұрын
I'm glad to see that someone other than myself sees this as well. I've always compared his _swagger_ to that of the *King* --- its the _upper lip_ thing. 🙋 My mom and Billy used to "date" back in his early days when he would be flying back and forth between London + NYC. They had met down in NYC's "Village" and even after his rise to "stardom" , they remained good friends and even came to our house to see her when I was born. She kept every "memento" he had ever given her, including both personally autographed albums ( _vinyl_ ). I remember him coming over to our house when I was 4 yrs old and my mom introducing him to me as _"this is your uncle Billy baby, say hello..."_ ; a year earlier, he had also become a "father" himself.😊 Whenever he came to NY, he would call her and they would get together throughout the years, before her passing. Last time I saw him in "person" was on March 15, 2017 at the House of Blues Las Vegas, where I went to see him backstage --- he couldnt believe how "time had flown", and he hugged me as we sat down and he reminisced about himself + my mom and all the "trouble" they had caused in certain clubs of NYC back in the day. He literally imitated Forrest Gump in telling me that he and my mom _"we were like two peas in a pod"_ 😁 When I left he hugged me tightly, and I still called him "Uncle Billy"! He was so generous --- he not only made sure I got flowers and champagne delivered every single day to my room for the 5 days I was in Vegas --- but when I was leaving and went to the reception desk to drop off the key ( card ) to my suite, I was told that all charges on my credit card had been "returned" --- and that he had actually paid for my stay there. Thats the type of man he is ---- he never forgot "who" his "friends" were, back when he was just starting out as an artist in the U.S. I'm pretty sure my mom was smiling down on him from "up there somewhere" . ✌

Nope. There's no Stevens (on this level) w/o Idol. Doing just fine here & thru the 90's.

Excellent concert. My favorite in this show has to be the some kind of underrated song "Prodigal Blues".

@@DanielBrown-fy7ll Steve Stevens played guitar and toured on most of Idol's early albums, but they had split up before this tour. They are currently recording and touring together again.

I am a fan of Billy s since I am 25 years old. His songs never bored me. And his persona is fascinating as much as his extraordinary looks. Keep it up Billy you are a SUN.
