My mom always tells me about this concert, she was only 17 years old when she attended, she said all the performance did a amazing show but the one that stood out the most for her was Queen ... especially when they sung "we will rock you" she said she thought the stadium was going to collapse with all the people stomping their feet on the floor... she said she wasn't a big fan of queen but after that day she became one of this biggest fan... she was heart broken when he passed 💔 😢

I remember this like it was yesterday, clichéd as that is ! But 1985 was yesterday to me. I LOVED the 1980' s. The music, the fashion, the whole thing. I was 23 when Live Aid happened. I was a student nurse, and my 3 flatmates and I sat and watched the whole thing. We sang, we danced, we laughed and we cried. It was a very moving event. We felt very much part of something bigger, something important. It was a real zeitgeist moment in time . In our naive innocence, we thought that with the amount of money raised, it would bring about such changes in Africa. We were wrong of course . But I will NEVER forget that day 😊
