Mark is the genuine article, I was lucky enough to know him growing up. He first taught me how to play Oasis tracks on his Hamer when I was 10, seeing him on stage hamming it up with Trey was a big worlds collide moment for me.

Yep. Trey steps back & looks for his leader, doesn’t upstage. But yes, Billy’s guitarist should’ve unleashed the hounds! Trey is a humble player with others, but ALL others want him to GO! The most comfort I’ve seen is w/ Tedeschi Trucks. Because Derek and Trey are so comfortable in their own skin there is no worries. Neither care. Win win win win. Susan is necessary too for that, such great chemistry when there is no ego.

I think it was a truce. Billy got frustrated years ago because Phish has NYE MSG locked in indefinitely and he wanted the venue. He said some disparaging remarks about Phish at the time. Looks like they made up

Like The Piano Man Trey has his own banner hanging from the rafters of MSG and is very much with it striking distance of surpassing Billy's performance record...
