I can't stop watching this. This aria by this guy is magnificent!!

In a recent interview with Newsday he said he is a nervous wreck the entire concert knowing he has to sing this. Its on his mind during every other song. He fears not hitting the last high note. But once he sings it, it's a giant weight off him and enjoys the rest of the show. That is so human. His voice has gotten better. He performs a lot with Big Shot his band when not with Joel tours.

He’s a great singer, but why put this song on the playlist? It doesn’t fit with Billy’s music.

Multiple reasons: • It’s an Italian aria and it’s placed as a lead-in to Scenes from an Italian Restaurant • It gives Billy a small vocal break • Every band member has their “moment” (Carl’s solo in Zanzibar, Crystal’s solo in River of Dreams, etc) and this is Mike’s moment
