I was 13 when I watched this race unfold. Clarke's elbow pissed me off. When Billy Mills roared past Clarke and Gemudi, I YELLED with joy. Definitely one of the most memorable moments in Olympic history. Tops my list for its spirit and character.

Simply unbelievable...it the performance mysterious..in that it looked like the others were put on slow -mo..! And then a turbo boost for Him and only him to cross my the line..FIRST!..the moment was created for him..some how some way.. unexplainable...?

I live in Italy in San vittore Olona and I remember when in 1965 Billy won the cross country in my town. I was twelve but I still remember this outstanding athlete

It was an incredible honor to be blessed with a chance to speak to you after I completed the 217 Mile "Run for Recovery", Fort St. John B.C. In June of 2013, finishing in twelve days.
