Good job, that was some wicked driving. Did you use stabilization on the camera? very smooth video for being cart mounted.

How is the power on that engine, is it mostly on the bottom end? What the top speed at the end of the longest straight?

They rev them to the moon +15k rpm on built race engines. And they bog like you wouldn't believe when dropping out of the power band. Incredibly difficult shifters to drive.

The 175 makes power at 8000, but torque is at 12.5 and max hp is 13

@@shifterdriver6215 I have a Super Shifter, changing the Dellorto carburetor for a Tillotson was a terrible idea, thanks 🙏

@@p.c.h.6721 eh it depends, the dellorto is better for someone who is inexperienced or doesn’t want to be bothered with the carb. At first I didn’t like the sse because we couldn’t get it to start, but it drives extremely fast. Over time I’ve gotten used to tillotson and it’s all about keeping it rich, as if it’s too lean it resides to start at all

@@shifterdriver6215 Thanks, the European SSE comes with electric start, works very well, so no problems starting the engine. With The Tillotson, once in a while, I get to a track where for some inexplicable reason at one particular corner, the engine fails every single time I drive around that particular corner, I come out of that corner in second gear and as soon as I step on the throttle, the engine Boggs down, as if it doesn’t have enough fuel, then as soon as I manage to shift into third gear, the engine takes off, no problems after that, so the million dollar question is “why the engine bogs down in one particular corner of the track, lap after lap, but on every other corner, some of them even slower corners, there are no problems, you can throttle the engine while in second gear and the engines pushes like hell?” Something is affecting the Tillotson at that one particular corner and I don’t know what it is, it’s driven me crazyyyyy. I replaced the pressure spring from a 42gr to a 48gr and that improved the problem quite a bit, but there is still a slight hesitation coming out of that particular corner, it’s not responding 100% as it does on every other corner of the track.... I don’t think there’s a 50gr pressure spring? So I ended up buying the Dellorto carburetor (don’t get me wrong I like the Tillotson so I don’t have to deal with changing the main jet, but that problem at one particular corner makes me lose a lot of time when I use the Tillotson 😡😢)
