Good for you to have happy memories. The 1980s, Reagan was good. We had the fear of nuclear war. U can't think of anything good from the 80s other than Ronald Reagan. The radio am and FM was good.

This song reminds me of my mom cleaning the house while I was a child. She loved these type of songs. I was raised on Billy Ocean, Freddie Jackson and Whitney Houston. My mom had great taste in music. I put my daughters on to these gems now.

I think the 80’s were by far the best generation of music no matter what genre! Pop, R&B, soul, British, Caribbean, European, Disco, Club, and etc. I think music was at its creative peak as far as writing, music, lyrics, music videos, stage shows, and dress. The men and women gave us so much excellent music, we who heard it cannot let it go! It was the best time in my life by far, and mostly because of the beautiful dance, sad, slow, party music. The best music in my life.

WRONG!!!!!...i'm gonna shamelessly plug this chick...check out WHY? by JASMINE LAMPORT, BREATHE by JASMINE LAMPORT....and for the deep lyrical lovers...google STRONG by JASMINE LAMPORT .....a singer who can bloody well sing(without autotune and stacks of reverb)...and can write as well. Be careful with WHY?...................capable of making some delete most of a box of kleenex.

As long as there've been people, there's been politics. We didn't have cell phones, social media, 24-hour TV, or Internet, so it was much less pervasive. Watergate was a decade before this. Stupid people are perennial.
