Incredible to think Billy had most of the techniques he's known for down 35yrs ago!!...And he's still coming up with new stuff. A true innovator. And like Jimmy Hendrix was, a once in a lifetime phenomenon, I've been a fan since '82. Billy is a constant inspiration to my own bass playing. And i'm humbled to count him as a friend now after being a fan for so long. He's also a down to earth nice guy. As most of the greats tend to be. Great video. Thanks for posting. P.s haven't heard Billy play with the repeat echo before. it's usually the harmonizer!

I remember reading a Billy Sheehan interview in which he said he had a goal to perform a 20 minute bass solo that didn’t bore anyone in the audience. I’m guessing this performance was prior to the interview. At 11 minutes or so, in my opinion, he was half way there.

Did the lighting guy go on a break with the rest of the band? Put a spotlight on Billy during that solo FFS!
