THIS was rock and roll. No fancy, expensive sets. Just 5 extremely talented musicians under some colored lights who could bring the house down. The playing is tight, the vocals are strong. At the time, it never occurred to me that some day it might end.

I guess it’s the popular opinion that Billy’s “Rock me tonight” video ruined his career. It’s the one where he was prancing around in a pink tank top as I recall. I remember my GF at the time thought he was extremely sexy in this video! But I personally don’t think he was acting any different in the RMT video than he ever did any other time on stage. He was just a flamboyant entertainer, not a whole lot different than Mick Jagger really. Great songs, fabulous guitarist, and incredible singer, I have always been a huge fan. I love this live version - they really jam out and Billy uses his voice so creatively! If I just pull this up on KZbin to listen to I can't get anything else done because I HAVE TO WATCH! "Don't Say No" is still one of my all time fav albums. He was on top at that moment.

A lot of artists are doing it themselves now. I would donate to your crowd fund project. I would buy from your bandcamp. I would pay to watch a live stream concert and get a cd made from it. I hope you are living well. ❤ I would also follow and share your tiktoks😂

Saw this lineup in Edmonton in '82, they could give classes on how to be a LIVE R&R Band.

I remember 9th grade, first concert, first real girlfriend and we went together to the show. During the encore they pulled her up on stage and I didn't see nor hear from her till school the next Monday and she would never tell me...... so I dated her best friend. Good times man!

Probably a top 10 band, But Billy is the strangest looking rock star. Looks evil many times.

Billy Squier's career should have been bigger than it was. Like Frampton in the 70s, something cut it short.

Love the simple, plug in and play sound of this band. I don’t know if they used much for effects, but it sounds like a Les Paul plugged straight into 100 watt Marshall’s. No hiding your mistakes like that. The sound is fairly clean with a lot of headroom...another attribute of 100 watters. I don’t have any 100 watt,Marshall heads any more; but I certainly remember the raw air-moving power of a 100 stack when you slam a major chord. Since then, I’ve stepped the wattage down to a 50 watt Marshall JCM 800, a JTM-45 (30 watts), and an 18 watt TMB. I jump around between them or combine them depending on the sound I’m after. This band is just pure rock and roll Marshall tone.

Kenny Aaronson (Dust, Rick Derringer, HSAS, etc.) rockin' the bass with a pompadour. Good thing he cut his hair off or he would look like Howard Stern like he did in the Derringer days.

I was there Def Leppard Blew everyone away as the opening band and it was very clear they were gonna explode which they did I would meet Joe Elliot years later 2004 backstage at Ian Hunter when my band opened for him. Jeff Golub great guitarist. Bobby Chouninard Awesome flashy drummer, Alan St Jon Doug Lubahn Bass groove master, tasty keyboardist. And Billy I fucked my music career with one video Squier haha. So great.

I was there too! Great show. Leppard, off High N Dry, was awesome. Stoked to see them before Rick Allen lost his arm. And, before Phil Collen.

Great show! I never realized Billy was such a good giitarist - I figured he was just a singer/strummer & his guitarist did all the lead work, but Billy really ripped it out a time or two!

Billy and Jeff Golub were a great guitar duo! Underrated and that is a shame. Hell, the whole band was fantastic!

Not sure why he didn't become huge like Tom Petty. He went from huge for about a year or two to nothing.
